Frequently Asked QuestionsHow much does it cost? All services are fully covered by Medicaid and residents of Washington County may have coverage through the Washington County Behavioral Health Board. Staff will contact other Behavioral Health Boards to request coverage for individuals who live outside of Washington County and are not eligible for Medicaid. Can my family visit? Family and friends over the age of 13 are encouraged to visit residential clients weekly. Visitors must be approved by the client and complete visitation training with staff. Because of the shorter stay and the medical care required, there is no visitation for detox clients.

Rigel Recovery Residential Center has shared kitchen, dining, and lounge areas. Bedrooms are furnished with twin beds for double occupancy.

Detoxification - medication managed (males and females)It generally takes 5-7 days to detox from drugs or alcohol, depending on the substance, dosage, and severity of the addiction. Our nursing staff provide 24 hour supervision and administer medication to help alleviate the withdrawal symptoms. Individuals are stabilized, evaluated and, as they are able, may participate in group counseling. Before leaving detox, every patient meets with a counselor, undergoes a full assessment, and has an appointment with or contact information for an appropriate treatment provider.

Residential treatment for substance use disorders (males only)Sometimes a residential treatment setting is necessary to provide the structure, support, and resources that form a foundation for lifelong sobriety. Our residential clients attend individual and group therapy and work with their counselor to determine and achieve their personal treatment goals. Family programming focuses on teaching skills that help clients and their families understand and succeed in their roles in the recovery process. Time is also provided for meditation/reflection and learning sober recreational activities. The average stay is 60 – 90 days based on the treatment plan set forth by the client and licensed counselors.
