Electrical & Computer Engineering Graduates split ~50/50 between Computer

Engineering and Electrical Engineering programs Strong combination of analytical and software skills

Specialty areas: Embedded systems design and programming FPGA design and CAD Computer architecture Software development Robotics, vision, and control Real-time systems

Digital Humanities (minor)Purposes: (1) Revisit humanities content by applying technology’s analytical strengths. (2) Solve modern problems by applying the humanities’ synthetic thinking methods.

Outcomes: (1) Understand the implications of technology-mediated knowledge. (2) Display expertise in one or more technologies. (3) Apply technology skills to solve real problems and/or create new technology-based tools.

Skills: Web publishing, print publishing, computational linguistics, software localization, corpus analysis, topic modeling, etc.

Students: 55/45 split between humanities majors and others. Majors from every college but one (nursing).

Localization (New Program)The new localization program is still in development, but BYU graduates already permeate the localization industry and work in localization at these companies
