Red Sea Rule # 5

Stay calm and confident, and give God time to work Red Sea Rule # 5

Rev. Shawn P. Ellis Moses said to the people: Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.

EXODUS 14:1314

IntroductionPretty much saying "wait" let God do what He doDoctors office, red light, results, pregnancy, next job...tv program

Good things come to those who wait...on LordRom. 5:8 - has a vested interest in us. Psalms 25:5 Lead me to thy truth, and teach me: for thou are the God of my salvation, on thee do I wait all day. V. 9 For evildoers shall be cut off; but those that wait upon the Lord, they shall inherit the earth.

Psalms 40:1 I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

Psalms 62:1 Truly my soul waits upon God; from Him cometh my salvation

Psalms 37:4 (NLT) Dont be impatient for the Lord to act! Keep traveling steadily along His path and in due season He will honor you with every blessing

Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up with wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. God promises special blessing to those who waitBecause its tough, causes us to relinquish our control (remote)One of the most difficult exhortations in scripture

Trusting in God leads to our enemies being cut off as God heard their cry and rendered them salvation. He then honored them with every blessing, renew their strength, gave them the ability to soar over problems, run Spiritually without tiring and walk steadfastly forward without fainting at God's delaysSo what does it mean to wait?

The Hebrew word for wait is QavahTo bind together The making of a ropeEntrenched the idea of digging ourselves into GodTo look patiently picture the Prodigal sons fatherHope, expect, look eagerly TRUSTWaiting is not Laziness Going to sleep, hoping better in morning Abandoning our effort - it's in Gods hands
