The Chamber strives to be a valuable force in the promotion of the business community and the recruitment of new business and industry to the Red Springs area. The Chamber desires to be a working organization that will be progressive in nature and will work for the promotion of new business for the betterment of the community at large. It is the desire of the Chamber to strengthen the business environment and enhance the quality of life for all citizens in the Red Springs area. PRESIDENT’S MESSAGEMay is here and we have been busy at the Red Springs Chamber of Commerce.

On May 8th, the Chamber hosted a luncheon for the recipients of the Student of Excellence Awards. The students, their parents and school personnel were invited to Providence Place for this luncheon. We had 20 people in attendance and it was a hit with the students. George Hall, Assistant President of the Chamber and Fran Ray, Past President spoke briefl y to the students and their parents, welcoming them and letting them know how proud the Chamber was of the ones who participated.

On Friday, May 17th, the Chamber hosted the Educators Appreciation Breakfast. Local businesses and individuals served breakfast to all of our area faculty and school personnel. This year we hosted 8 schools. I would like to thank the businesses/individuals who helped us make this possible.

Membership is still very important. We continue to increase each month but we are still seeking new membership. We invite businesses and residents to join us and become a part of our Chamber. With your help and the continued support of our members we can make our town and community a better place to work and live.

The Board of Directors thanks each of you for your support to the Red Springs Chamber of Commerce.
