Redkite Question Master allows you to assess staff knowledge using a multiple choice format in any subject matter quickly and easily no matter where they are located.

Turn PowerPoint presentations or pdf documents into dynamic learning resources in minutes! Quickly transform any PowerPoint presentation into an integrated e-learning package with built in self-assessment and dynamic links to staff records. Easy to set up - a single link on any screen in your presentation will fire up a predetermined on-line assessment and, on completion mark, score, grade and store the results, if required.

Questions are created and stored in topic specific question banks. Any number of topics banks can be created. Questions are in a multiple choice format and there is no limit to the number of questions you can enter. Questions can have as many optional answers as are needed and users can be asked to select more than one correct option. Questionnaires are created by selecting questions from one or more topics. Questionnaires are delivered to candidates who will answer questions whilst seated at a computer or via a web enabled smart phone. For many staff this will mean that they can be assessed

without the need for them to leave their workplace.

Each question is generated at random and the optional answers are also presented in a random order. Questions can be marked as they are answered showing both the correct and incorrect answers if required. At the end of the assessment the candidate can be

informed of the overall score and whether or not the

assessment has been completed successfully.

The outcome of the assessment can be automatically

passed to the candidate’s personal portfolio where the

results can be viewed in full detail providing

substantiating evidence of knowledge and

understanding in key competence areas.

Web-based On-line prospectus allows authorised line management to view and nominate personnel for courses you are offering.

Checks delegate and trainer availability both in terms of spaces available on a course, staff holidays and duty rotas.

Training need analysis tools ensure staff attend courses in a timely manner.

On-line training update allows training personnel or system administrators to update training records and record non-attendance on completion of a course.

Refresher training dates are automatically updated and mapping to units of competence or associated training is undertaken automatically.

Shows courses that have been completed and where training records have not been updated.

Reports – a wide range of standard and customisable management reports is available from pull down menus within the system.

Resource Management – extended resource management facilities allow any resource to be defined (rooms, equipment, personnel, etc.) and allocated to a course for part or whole courses. Resources can be allocated for periods in 30 minute segments. Resource managers are notified what resources are required and any subsequent changes.

Trainer Management – holds details of trainer’s qualifications and matches qualifications to course requirements. Also checks for availability.

The Redkite PDS Computer Based Training module will deliver any computer based learning package. Linked to Question Master it can assess, mark, grade and record outcomes.

Computer Based Training CBT

Computer Based Training / Learning resources are

uploaded to the server via a user friendly upload

screen.

There are no restrictions on the type of package

that can be delivered.

Where a learning resource is required to be

assessed via Redkite Question Master then the

package can be linked to an appropriate

assessment.

Users can be ‘enrolled’ onto CBT resources via

Tracker – this will ensure that required CB Training

is undertaken.

On completion of learning the system will record

that the resource has been used. If the resource is

linked to an assessment in Question Master then

the appropriate assessment will be delivered and

marked and the results stored in the personal

portfolio.

Redkite Systems do not provide training resources – we

only supply the mechanism for storing, selecting,

delivering, assessing, marking and recording the

outcomes of CBT learning experiences.

Technical Information

Web Based

All Redkite Systems are web based and can be accessed

by authorised users at an appropriate level via a web

browser. All standard web browsers are supported.

Free Hosting Service

Redkite Systems offer a FREE hosting service. Rackspace

plc. provide our managed servers and these are

supported on a 24 x7 x365 basis with a guaranteed

uptime of 99.99%.

Your system is managed by ourselves and we supply all

necessary SQL Server licences.

Your system is backed up incrementally on a daily basis

with a full back-up every week. Back-ups are stored for 2

weeks.

Your data is protected with a Cisco systems firewall and is

encrypted using Thawte 128 SSL.

The software and hosted server meet rigorous

penetration testing standards.

You will be supplied with a unique system which is not

shared by any other customer.

We provide a portal to allow easy access to your systems

and up-to-date on-line User Guides.

Adobe Reader and MS Excel or similar will need to be

installed on workstations for report generation.

There is no restriction on the amount of information you

can store on standard systems.

There is no restriction to the number of users within the

scope of your contract.

Non-hosted supply

If you prefer we can supply our systems to be installed

onto your own web server. To do this we will request a

remote data connection (VPN link or similar) which will

allow the installation of the system without the need for a

site visit.

The modules are supplied as compiled .dll files which link

to the SQL Server data base using a series of connection

strings embedded in a .ini file. The .ini file is encrypted. All

modules are MS Windows based and require IIS to be

running on the web server.

Adobe Reader and MS Excel will need to be installed on

workstations for report generation.

Redkite Systems do not supply hardware or recommend

any particular system. We can however supply the

specification of our hosted web server.

Support

Redkite Systems provide telephone support 09.30 – 16.30

(UK time) Monday to Friday except on UK bank and public

holidays.

Emails requesting support that are received ‘out of hours’

are usually responded to on the next working day at the

latest.

Extended hours support can be made available, if required.

User Group

Redkite Systems has a pro-active User Group which meets

on a regular basis to discuss system developments. A User

Group forum is also provided via LinkedIn.
