• The total amount of greenhouse gases produced to directly and indirectly support human activities, usually expressed in equivalent tons of carbon dioxide (CO2).

Where we are today.-Between the end of 2011 and the beginning of 2013, carbon dioxide levels increased by 2.67 parts per million-In the US, we account for 20% of man made greenhouse gas emissions, with less than 5% of the population.

Thing we can do to reduce our carbon footprint

1. Bike, use public transit, carpool to work, drive slower, keep your tires inflated

2. Lower your thermostat in the winter. Raise it in the summer

3. Wash dishes by hand in a basin, and then use the dish water for outdoor gardens.

4. Use energy efficient light bulbs.
