Keane and EFD

• The program includes utilizing Field gas, Pipeline gas, CNG and LNG as the site fuel

• Replacement of Diesel through partial gas (Dual Fuel), ‘all’ gas and ‘all’ electric solutions

• Due to a maturity in the technology and the gas supply chain and customer demand, Keane has moved to convert its Fracturing and drilling rigs to Dual Fuel

• While continuing to develop alternatives with ever improving footprint

Keane and NG Dual Fuel Program

• Keane is converting it Cummins Engines for the Fracturing fleet incrementally engine by engine through the end of 2013.

– Engine by engine conversion at the plant with factory optimization . Orders placed August, 12 Dual Fuel Pumps Operational by Jan 2014.

• Keane is converting its CAT compression engines for its Air Drilling units in 2013.

– This conversion will be done on the drilling site

– The C18 engines can be converted very efficiently

• The % substitution is from 50% and can be improved with engine operational optimization/exhaust temperature (70+%)

Keane and EFD

• EFD have developed a drilling simulator , now

• EFD with Keane are developing a Fracturing simulator which will capture the environmental and operational advantages of the various improvements made (already incorporating spill containment, dust suppression etc.)

• And convey this progress to the public, regulatory and other vested parties

• The Simulator will also be located in certain key strategic Communications/Educational institutions (National/State Museums …) to communicate what actualy happens and how we are improving
