Between the snow days and workload, I know it couldn’t have been easy. I know you’ve told me several times that we haven’t been the easiest 1103 class to deal with. Although this class was like most writing/English classes I’ve had in the past, there is one thing that stands out in my mind when I think of how I grew as a writer. I remember during our first class, you told us that there wasn’t any one way to be a good writer and that each of us had our own individual writing styles. That little tidbit of wisdom has helped me do my best writing this semester because I felt free to write in any style I want and be as descriptive as I want. What I struggled with over Fadaee 1

Kamand Fadaee4/21/15Professor Lynn C. RaymondUWRT 1103My Reflection LetterDear Ms. Raymond,First off, I just want to say thank you so much for all youve done for us kids this semester. Between the snow days and workload, I know it couldnt have been easy. I know youve told me several times that we havent been the easiest 1103 class to deal with. Although this class was like most writing/English classes Ive had in the past, there is one thing that stands out in my mind when I think of how I grew as a writer. I remember during our first class, you told us that there wasnt any one way to be a good writer and that each of us had our own individual writing styles. That little tidbit of wisdom has helped me do my best writing this semester because I felt free to write in any style I want and be as descriptive as I want. What I struggled with over the semester was keeping up with the writing prompts. I turned most of them in on time except for the last two but thats about it. We had a lot of projects and assignments but they were fun and not a chore to complete. As far as the Semester-Long Project goes, I didnt really think too hard or change our topic. Juliet and I pretty much knew we wanted to do ours on first generation college students because it was a topic that both of us cared about. Research projects are never fun to complete but we cared about the topic so that made it a little easier. I can definitely see this class helping me in the future. This class has helped me to learn how to juggle multiple tasks at once and still keep up with other things in my life. It has also taught me to care about social issues like racism (Malcolm X readings and The Secret Life of Bees) and has overall been an enjoyable class. What I consider to be my best work and the project that I am proud of the most is my Artist Project. Not only did I love learning more about Maya Angelous past, I loved learning about her creative process and reading interviews people had with her. I think I did the best on this project for several reasons: because I was so excited to research Maya Angelou, I started this project early so I never felt rushed in completing it. Secondly, this project allowed me to get really creative design-wise with the powerpoint and anything that lets me tap into my creative side, Im going to love.I have thoroughly enjoyed this class and Ive given you a stellar review on ratemyprof.com!

Thanks so much!Kamand Fadaee
