Council Member for Dormant NCs
the focus of Hans and Jakob will be on contacting dormant NCs that haven't been able to send delegations to IS for a while and setting up an action plan with them. If this fails, the council members would recommend to the rest of us and to the GB that this NC gets proposed for derecognition at the upcoming spring BNC.
Council Member for New NCs
the focus of Kevin and Alan will be on the development of our newest NCs as well as
coordinating the NC buddy system. Kevin and Alan will also work on developing a toolkit of useful suggestions and documents that young NCs can use for their development (also the
ones that aren't candidates anymore but are in the early stages of their development).
Council Member for Mobility
the focus of Pauline be on stimulating greater mobility of our volunteers, so that expertise about session management and quality is shared more equally throughout the network, and coming up with creative ways to encourage this. Specifically, proposals can be made to see if we can allocate financial resources towards promoting intra-NC mobility.
Council Member for Excellence
many of our strongest NCs feel they are mainly contributing to e.g. knowledge sharing
meetings at BNC meetings and not getting much back from EYP internationally. This needs to change. Zahra will explore whether we can
organise trainings/meetings to help the stronger NCs develop. This council member will look into thematic sessions on different kinds of
topics (such as hiring staff, developing alumni activities, tackling the cahllenges of big country
development) and will conduct a review of the EYP budget and see how resources can be
allocated towards better network facilitation.
