ABSTRACT
The study was aimed at investigating the relationship between motivation and employees
performance at Uchumi Supermarket Buru Buru branch. The general objective of this
study was to find out the level of motivation existing at Uchumi, the level at which
employees performance meet the expected standard, find the relationship between
motivation and employees performance, find whether other strategies can be applied by
Uchumi to the employees performance. The research highlighted the various levels of
motivation of Uchumi Supermarket in order to supplement the performance of its
employees.
The findings of the study have been presented by tables. 'Presentation of data collected
through questionnaire, data collected through interview schedule and conclusion of the
chapter. From the summary and conclusion of the study, the researcher would like to
make the following recommendations in line with the findings of the study on the
relationship between motivation and employees performance.
Ensure that the staff is well informed by structuring and effective down up means of
communication, Promotions, working condition, salary increment and bonuses program
should be introduced. This will help managers understand the importance of their
employees'rights.
This will help employees feel at ease when he or she is being recognized while working.
