1 In this version

This release contains support for new and updated file formats. There are updates for most technologies that Actix supports, with changes falling under the following categories:

New collection device support

▫ Added support for TEMS 13.0.3.

▫ Added support for Nemo file format version 2.11.

▫ Added support for SwissQual version 11.0.

▫ Added support for LTE scanner devices for Ascom QVoice / Symphony.

▫ Added support for Huawei CHR version V900 R012.

▫ Added support for Netimizer version 3.1.0 for CDMA, EVDO, and LTE.

▫ Added support for Anritsu ML8725A for CDMA, EVDO, and LTE (same format as Netimizer version 3.1.0).

▫ Added support for ZK CellTest version 6.27.

▫ Added support for compressed ZTE log files with file name extension “.apt”.

▫ Added support for Samsung i510 Droid Charge LTE device for Datapro file format.

User-interface improvements

▫ Various improvements to the “export to KML” functionality in the Map.

▫ Minor fixes to the Map.

2 New collection device or technology support

2.1 Anritsu support

[Case 62658] Added support for Anritsu ML8725A (corresponding to Netimizer version 3.1.0) for CDMA, EVDO, and LTE.

2.2 Ascom QVoice / Symphony support

[Case 62273] Added support for LTE scanner devices.

LTE neighbour cells attributes are now set.

2.3 Ascom TEMS support

[Case 62203, 63016] Added support for TEMS 13.0.3.

[Case 57133] Added support for TEMS Automatic 8.2.

[Case 59795, 61914] The new version of TEMS fixes the problem whereby the application throughout was non-deterministic and could vary by 5% for the same task.

[Case 61178] The new version of TEMS fixes the problem whereby the application throughout was not reported in some log files.

[Case 58420] The new version of TEMS fixes the problem whereby attribute TEMSEventFilemark could not be set.

[Case 62170] A problem has been resolved that caused Analyzer to incorrectly recognize Sony Ericsson w600i as a GSM-only device.

2.4 Datapro support

[Case 62660] Added support for the Samsung i510 Droid Charge LTE device.

[Case 60825] A problem has been resolved that could cause LTE devices to be recognized as CDMA devices.

2.5 Huawei CT support

[Case 62184] Added support for Huawei CHR version V900 R012.

2.6 Nemo support

Added support for Nemo file format version 2.11.

[Case 62256] A problem has been resolved that could cause Nemo FSR1 scanner files to fail to load.

2.7 Netimizer support

[Case 62658] Added support for Netimizer version 3.1.0 for CDMA, EVDO, and LTE.

2.8 Network Monitor (Ethereal / Wireshark) support

[Case 62806] Added support for a new link layer header type “NULL” for BSD loopback encapsulation.

[Case 62565] Added support for a new link layer header type “PPP_WITH_DIR” for PPP, as per RFC 1661 and RFC 1662.

[Case 62383] A problem has been resolved that could cause the date to be wrong with Network Monitor log files.

2.9 NSN ICSU / Megamon support

[Case 62534] More attributes are set at mac_throughput_report_s message.

2.10 Qualcomm chipset support

[Case 57743] In LTE, Modulation and Coding Scheme values 28, 29 and 30 are ignored when computing the attribute LTE_UE_MCS_Average_DL.

[Case 62852] In LTE, the following new attributes are now set:

LTE_UE_MAC_AvgBSR_UL LTE_UE_MAC_AvgPHR_UL

[Case 62955] In HSDPA, support was added for version “9” of message 0x4222 HS Decode Status Log Packet with Data Edition 3.

[Case 62141, 62891] In CDMA, new attributes are set in case of receive diversity for the radio measurements made by both antennas:

MobileReceivePowerAnt EcIo_CombinedAnt

[Case 62533] In GPRS, it has been observed that some Qualcomm chipsets may log dummy Measurement Report messages. Analyzer now detects these dummy messages and ignores them.

Analyzer now detects corrupted QChat messages and can load the affected log files entirely. In previous releases, the file loading stopped at the first corrupted message.

Analyzer now detects corrupted timestamps in QChat messages and ignores them.

2.11 SwissQual Diversity support

[Case 62743] Added support for SwissQual version 11.0.

[Case 62779] A new attribute, SwissQualCallSetupTime, is now set that matches the call setup time reported by the SwissQual tool.

[Case 59866, 62584, 62747, 62827] The SwissQual-specific event detection in Analyzer (that sets attributes such as SwissQualCallAttempt, SwissQualCallComplete…) has been improved in the following situations:

▫ When the call fails because the log file is stopped.

▫ When the call fails because the logging tool aborted the call.

▫ When the call fails at a RRC Re-establishment procedure.

2.12 Tektronix support

[Case 60387] A problem has been resolved that could cause Analyzer to crash when loading Tektronix K15 log files.

2.13 ZK CellTest support

Support was added for ZK CellTest version 6.27.

2.14 ZTE support

[Case 61946] ZTE AC560 device is now correctly recognized by Analyzer as an EVDO-capable device.

[Case 60315] Added support for compressed ZTE log files with file name extension “.apt”.

2.15 Generic

[Case 63024] In UMTS, Analyzer event detection now supports the fact that in some networks, the CC Facility message can be used in replacement to the CC Alerting message.

3 User-interface improvements

3.1 Map

3.1.1 Zoom to entire map

[Case 60985] A problem has been resolved that prevented the function “Zoom > View Entire Map” from working.

3.1.2 Map Layout Designer

A problem has been resolved that caused some layers to be missing in Map Layout Designer on computers running Internet Explorer 9.

3.1.3 Export to KML

[Case 62137] A problem has been resolved that prevented the map layers consisting of event attributes from being exported to KML.

[Case 59647] A problem has been resolved that could cause some layers not to be exported when several layers were exported to KML.

A message is now displayed when the operation of exporting a map layer to KML is successful.

A new “dot” symbol is now used with KML exports.

3.2 Protocol Stack Browser

The “Export” button no longer overlaps the stream picker combo box.

3.3 Reports

[Case 61796] When a report is generated, the images are now copied into the current user’s “Documents” folder rather than the “All users” “Documents” folder.
