RE:LOCATION is apioneering internationalyouthartsproject designed tocelebrateexcellence in youth theatre through:
>multinational collaboration,and
> thecreative investigationofnotionsofplaceand identity.
Each event brings together talented young peoplefrom local youth theatres in participating nations totake part in one extraordinary creative experience.
Every two years theRE:LOCATION processculminates in a newpiece of large scale site-specifictheatre designed to respond to an inspiring locationwithin the host nation.
RE:LOCATION aims to demonstrate the ambition,contemporary relevance and quality ofcurrentyouth arts practice to an international audience.
RE:LOCATIONwas co-founded in 2010 by theRogalandTeater,Norway and PromoteYT,Scotland,and launched towidespread acclaim in 2012.
RE:LOCATION 2012 saw50 young people and 15professional artists fromScotland,Norway,Denmark,France,Germany and Ireland investigatethe space,environment and atmosphere oftheBjergsted Park in the coastal city ofStavanger,Norway.
In 2014,RE:LOCATION participantswill respond toa chosen site in the KingdomofFife, in Scotland.
RE:LOCATIONeret nytt internasjonaltungdomsprosjekt somskal skapeteaterforestillinger avhøykvalitet for ogmedungdommer.Vi skal:
> skapemultinasjonale prosjekter
> utforske ideeromstedog identitet.
Hver forestilling samler unge, talentfulle menneskerfra lokale ungdomsteaterorganisasjoner i mangeland somg jennomprosjektet tar del i et uniktskapende arbeid.
Annet hvert år skal RE:LOCATION skape en ny,storslått stedsspesifikk forestillingmedutgangspunkt i et inspirerende landskap ivertslandet.
RE:LOCATION vil vise et internasjonalt publikumalldenærg jerrigheten og relevansen som finnes iungdommenes kunstprosjekter.
RE:LOCATION ble grunnlagt i 2010 av RogalandTeaterog PromoteYT,Skottland.Vår første visning fantsted i 2012–til stor begeistring blant det lokalepublikum.
RE:LOCATION 2012 involverte 50 ungdommer og 15profesjonelle kunstnere fra Skottland,Norge,Danmark,Frankrike,Tyskland og Irland.Sammenundersøkte de rommet,miljøet og atmosfæren iBjergsted-parken i Stavanger.
I 2014 skal RE:LOCATION-deltakerne utforske etutvalgt sted i Fife i Skottland.
