Remember to clean your Evolis Primacy Card Printer often to avoid costly repairs.

Firstly using Printer regular cleaning wizard in conjunction with the rectangular cleaning card/s.

Open printer & remove the ribbon. Open card hopper, remove any cards & move slider to position

50. Click x 2 button, place rectangular cleaning card sticky side up

in the card hopper. The card should be taken into printer to clean & then should be

ejected out of the out into the hopper. Secondardly Using Printer Advanced cleaning wizard in

conjunction with the “T” shaped cleaning card. Following the instructions more or less as above. Use cleaning cloth & isoclene to clean filter. Clean the head with swab & some isoclene & cleaning pen if

required.

Make sure the printer is powered, the USB signal cable from your PC is connected to the printer and that you have both the head cleaning cards, swab and pen.

To use the adhesive rectangular cleaning card follow the instructions below.

Ensure the printer is powered up and the USB signal cable is connected.

On your PC select Start. All programs. Evolis Card Printer. Evolis Premium Suite. Evolis Printer Centre or just the Evolis Print Centre Icon. Tools. Printer Regular Cleaning Wizard.

In the drop down menu change No printer selected to Evolis Primacy.

Press Next. Then follow the step by step instructions. Remove any cards from the feeder. Remove the ribbon. Adjust the card gauge to max. Close the ribbon cover. Next.

Then follow the step by step instructions again. Unpeel the adhesive from the card and place it in the feeder. Follow the steps pressing next when required. Through Head Clean. Finish. The Rectangular adhesive cleaning card will eventually

appear in the finished card hopper when the cleaning process has been completed.

Replace the ribbon & blank cards and continue printing.

To use the adhesive “T” Shaped cleaning card follow the instructions below.

Ensure the printer is powered up and the USB signal cable is connected.

On your PC select Start. All programs. Evolis Card Printer. Evolis Premium Suite. Evolis Printer Centre or just the Evolis Print Centre Icon. Tools. Printer Advanced Cleaning Wizard.

In the drop down menu change No printer selected to Evolis Primacy.

Press Next. Then follow the step by step instructions. Remove any cards from the feeder. Remove the ribbon. Adjust the card gauge to max. Close the ribbon cover. Next.

Press Next. Welcome. Preparing the printer. Insert “T” shaped card. Remove “T” shaped card. Inserting adhesive card, follow this with the short card. Head cleaning. Finish.

Please note you can also use.

Swab the printer head as shown below, however please ensure the printer is powered down before attempting this operation. The pen is used in a very similar way to clean the head.

Clean the fan filter using just a cloth & isoclean.

Replacing printer head

All programs. Evolis card printer. Evolis premium suite. Evolis print centre. Right click properties. Maintenance. Head replacement. Enter PKN no – Valid – Confirm – close.

Print test card manually or in Evolis print center. Manually from on. Press and hold button until LED goes off then turn on again and

allow to print card. From Evolis print center, All programs. Evolis card printer. Evolis premium suite. Evolis print centre. Right click properties. Test cards Graphical or Technical.
