colleges, riverside walks, museums and the refurbished Oxford Castle. This includes a market,

witness to 1,000 years of history. Alternatively, if you enjoy shopping with a difference visit Bicester

Our friends who travel with us in the winter are very special, so we are offering a series of mystery

Today we follow the scenic route to Shakespeare’s Stratford. We travel through the Chiltern Hills

and the Cotswolds via Edge Hill to arrive in Stratford for lunch. Stratford is situated alongside the

River Avon and is renowned for its associations with Shakespeare, the world’s greatest

playwright. It’s possible to visit many Shakespearian properties including the church where he

was baptised and buried. You could take a guided tour bus around the town or enjoy a boat trip

A delightful day out – not too far from home. Estuaries are magical places and this unusual tour

visits two of the most beautiful rivers in East Anglia. We break for coffee at the Lordship Tea

Rooms and drive to Burnham-On-Crouch for lunch. This quiet town with its riverside walk is a

haven for those delighting in sailing boats and yachts. We then drive to Heybridge Basin for tea

overlooking the River Blackwater. On our journey across the Dengie Peninsular there is time to

visit the ancient chapel of “St. Peters-On-The- Wall. It is one of the oldest buildings in the country

Coventry is dominated by its two cathedrals. The devastation of the mediaeval building blends poignantly with the new building designed by Sir Basil Spence and enhanced with sculptures, windows and tapestries by Jacob Epstein, John Piper and Graham Sutherland. Other interesting sights in the city include the Herbert Art Gallery and Museum to find out more about the story of Lady Godiva, an interesting toy museum and the Museum of British Road Transport with its world-class collection of British vehicles made in Coventry including the two fastest cars on the planet. Today we have the opportunity to visit the new Stonehenge Exhibition and Visitor Centre. Here, we can get closer to the ‘Mysteries of the Stones’ at the Visitor Centre before travelling to the great Stone Circle itself in a special land train to view close up this exceptional survivor from lost prehistoric cultures. The Visitor Centre gives us a 360-degree experience of viewing the stones whilst standing in the centre of the circle using laser scan images that enable us to watch the winter and summer solstices come and go in spectacular fashion. Time for lunch in the restaurant before driving into Salisbury city centre dominated by its huge cathedral spire. Home by approximately 8.00pm.

MAGIC OF MARGATE OR DICKENS BROADSTAIRS

A tour that combines the beauty of the South Downs with the majesty of the collection at Uppark. We stop for coffee at Guildford Cathedral and then drive across the South Downs to Chichester (lunch). It is a city noted for its unusual Cathedral surrounded by a beautiful Close and Gardens. The Shopping Centre contains several individual shops gathered about the 16th century market cross. We spend the afternoon at Uppark situated high on the South Downs with views as far south as The Solent. Uppark’s Georgian interiors illustrate the comfort of life “Upstairs” in contrast with the servant’s life “Downstairs”. One of our more unusual tours that visits the Blackwater Estuary for a cruise on a “Thames Sailing Barge”. We break for coffee at the Lordship Tea Rooms and then drive to Maldon where we board our sailing barge. We then enjoy a cruise back in time to an unhurried world governed by wind and tides as we relax along the secret waters of the Blackwater Estuary. During the cruise we have a two-course lunch served buffet style from the bar which also serves alcohol, tea and coffee. A new twist to an old favourite as we drive to Christchurch for lunch, the quiet resort set between the estuaries of the Rivers Stour and Avon. It has become a haven for yachtsmen and boasts a magnificent 11th century Priory Church. In the afternoon we drive across the New Forest by way of Milford-On-Sea and Beaulieu to Hythe where there is time for tea. It is then time to board the oldest electric train in the world as we trundle along Hythe Pier to board the ferry which passes the famous Ocean Terminal on Southampton Water and offers good views of the Ocean Liners preparing to depart on their world-wide cruises. Our coach will be waiting in Southampton to return us home by approximately 8.00pm.

Our first visit today takes us to Biggin Hill Aerodrome where a small museum tells the story of the airfield, the people who served there, the local community and residents from 1916 – 51. The collection has a focus on the Battle of Britain during which Biggin Hill played a pivotal role. Alongside the museum we see the Memorial Chapel of St. George with its 12 stained glass windows that ensure those that died will never be forgotten. The fund raising for the chapel was led by Sir Winston Churchill and so we spend the afternoon at Chartwell. Here we can see the rooms left as they were during his lifetime and evoke his career and interests with pictures, documents and personal mementos. Terraced gardens descend towards the lake whilst the garden studio contains many of St. Winston’s paintings. Time for lunch and tea at the house before arriving home by approximately 6.30pm.

The village is owned by the National Trust who have ensured that there are no intrusive power cables or modern-day eyesores to interfere with the 16th-century atmosphere of one of the prettiest villages in England. The scene is overlooked by Lacock Abbey, founded in 1232 and rebuilt during the 16th century. Because of its unique ambience the village has appeared in many films and television serials including Cranford, Pride and Prejudice, Emma and Harry Potter. We are pleased to present this rare opportunity to visit the garden of HRH The Prince of Wales. Autumn is a beautiful time to visit the garden. Highgrove takes on a warm glow of colour, resplendent with the Japanese maples and the diverse collection of trees especially chosen for their autumnal hues. Late flowering perennials light up the borders, with the autumn crocus and cyclamen adding highlights in many pockets around the garden. (Note that is advisable to wear strong shoes as the tour involves a considerable amount of walking and there are not many seats on the route. CHILDREN’S FARE Children between the ages 3 – 13 inclusive are generally charged two thirds of the adult fare to the nearest £1.00. Children under the age of 3 will travel free if not occupying a seat. No reduction is given on ‘Seaside Sprees’ or ‘Rural Rides’ ADMISSION FEES Are usually included in the Tour fare. The only main exception to this concerns visits to properties in the care of the National Trust. Passengers who are members of the National Trust are therefore advised to bring their membership cards with them. DEPARTURE TIMES The time on your ticket is whenever possible the time the coach actually departs and it cannot wait after this time. Please be at your departure point at least 10 minutes early. During the tour, the driver will give you further details of stops during the tour. We will not be held responsible for any passenger arriving late at any time. Lost Property will be held for a maximum of 4 weeks from the date of Tour. ITINERARIES Schedules have to be flexible so although we will endeavour to operate the tours as shown in our brochure, we will not be held responsible for traffic delays or other unforeseen problems which may cause the driver to alter an itinerary. SEASONAL TOURS The company will not take responsibility for any disappointment caused by inclement and unusual weather affecting seasonal tours, e.g. snowdrops, blossom, autumn colours, etc. RETURN TIMES The time that the coach is scheduled to arrive back at Enfield Town is shown beneath the Tour description. Our points will be correspondingly later or earlier. These times are only approximate and are as a guide only. BOOKING CONFIRMATION When booking day tours or holidays the seat/s will be held on option awaiting payment for up to 5 (five) working days from the time of booking after which the booking will be cancelled. Day tour booking will not be transferred to future tour/s within 14 days of the departure of the original booked tour. CANCELLATIONS Should there be inadequate demand, or it is impossible to run the Tour for any other reason, we reserve the right to cancel the departure. In this case, all fares will be refunded in full. COVID 19 PANDEMIC IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Travelling safely in England Throughout this pandemic period, and as we return to normal operation, it is very important that we all fol-low some simple guidelines to protect our staff, our passengers and anyone else that we may come into con-tact with as we carry out our excursions.

▪ Our driver will have anti-bacterial gel available You will be requested to sanitise your hands prior to boarding. It is important that you thoroughly wash or sanitise your hands before and after you travel.

▪ Remember your face covering. It is compulsory to wear a face covering on public transport in Eng-land

▪ Social distancing at the coach stop: ▪ Please also note that the toilet on board the coach will not be available while these measures are on

place. However, rest assured that the driver will stop for a comfort break. ▪ To allow for social distancing coaches will have limited capacity. ▪ At coach stops, try to keep at least one metre away from anyone else in the queue. ▪ Let people off the coach before you get on and try to keep a safe distance between you, the driver and

other customers.

Social distancing on the coach: ▪ Only one person can sit in a double seat unless you’re with a member of your household or social

bubble. Passengers who live together in the same household, may sit together on a double seat ▪ You must sit diagonal to the person in the row in front and behind. You should leave the seat behind

and next to them empty. Please leave the seat behind the driver free. ▪ please ensure you observe social distancing while waiting to board. ▪ Your seat number may change because ideally passengers will be seated on alternate seats on each

row wherever possible.

Coach Cleaning: ▪ Our current enhanced cleaning procedure includes cleaning of all floors and seats, cleaning of all

glass surfaces, mopping with disinfectant of all floor surfaces, disinfectant wiping of dash areas, driver controls and handles. It also includes cleaning all handrails, hand grabs, seat belt buckles, arm-rests and floors. It also includes vehicle anti-viral fogging on a regular basis.
