Definitions

• Reparations = paying someone back for harm done to them– Ex: The United States paid reparations to

Japanese-Americans who were put in concentration camps during WWII

• Negotiation = coming to a decision through discussion

• Consensus = coming to a solution that everyone can live with

Our Task

• Assign reparations for Argentina’s Dirty War• Represent one of the guilty parties in a

negotiation• Come to a consensus about the division of

reparations

The Guilty Parties

• Videla and the military junta• The individual soldiers/torturers• The United States Government • The United States Military• Juan Peron • Isabel Peron• The Catholic Church• Argentine citizens
