Title of Activity: Tree Plantation

Activity Experience:

On 01/07/2016, R. B. Narayanrao Borawake College, Shrirampur, successfully

completed the event of Tree Plantation under the National Service Scheme on college campus.

The Volunteers initially dig out and then planted trees.

The plantation programme is inaugurated by planting a tree by our Hon. Prin. Dr. K. H.

Shinde, the teaching and non-teaching staff members, students have actively participated in the

programme and total 40 trees have planted. We have planted various types of trees.

NSS programme officers Dr. S. P. Khilari, Dr. D. D. Shende and Dr. S. R. Chavan took

great efforts to conduct programme smoothly. NSS students participated actively in the

programme.

Title of Activity: Campus Cleanliness

Chief Guest:


The NSS Unit of the college conducted a campus cleaning programme on 20/09/2016

under the guidance of Prin. Dr. K. H. Shinde at our college premises. All the First Year NSS

Volunteers were engaged in this cleaning programme.

NSS Programme officers Dr. S. P. Khilari, Dr. D. D. Shende, Dr. S. R. Chavan divided

the NSS Volunteers into several groups. Each group members were allocated with a particular

area for cleaning. Three groups were asked to collect all the stones from the ground separately in

different sacs. The renewable such as dry leaves, twigs, papers etc and non-renewable wastes

such as carry bags, and plastic items etc. were collected separately. The renewable wastes were

collected and were put inside the Vermi-composed tank. At the end NSS Volunteers were

provided snacks.

Title of Activity: International Aids Day Rally and Oath Ceremony

NSS Unit, R. B. Narayanrao Borawake College, Shrirampur, successfully organized a

rally and Oath ceremony to make public aware of HIV/AIDS. College students and staff used

handmade posters, slogans and flex to make the public aware on 01/12/2016.

Prin. Dr. K. H. Shinde gave oath to students and said that the Red Ribbon was the

worldwide symbol of spot and awareness for people living with HIV/AIDS. The teaching and

non-teaching staff members, students actively participated in the programme.

1. Title of Activity: Voter Awareness Rally

In association with Tahsil office, Shrirampur, R. B. Narayanrao Borawake College,

Shrirampur organized the Voter Awareness Rally under the National Service Scheme (NSS) to

create the awareness about the right to vote among the youngsters.

The students actively participated in the campaign. Even the first-time voters were also a

part of the Dr.ive. They spread awareness about the right to vote.

The awareness Dr.ive was successfully conducted under the guidance of Prin. Dr. K. H.

Shinde. NSS programme officers Dr. S. P. Khilari, Dr. D. D. Shende and Dr. S. R. Chavan took

‘Cashless Transaction and Demonetization’ in the adopted village- at Nipani Vadgaon, on 15th

December 2016.

Prin. Dr. K. H. Shinde simplified the terms by saying that Cashless transaction economy

doesn’t mean shortage of cash rather it indicates a culture of people settling transactions

digitally. In a modern economy, money moves electronically. He continued that Demonetization

means the act of stripping a currency unit of its status as legal tender. It occurs whenever there is

a change of national currency. The current form or forms of money is pulled from circulation and

retired, often to be replaced with new notes or coins.

Survey at Nipani Vadgaon with the provided questionnaire on 16/12/ 2016.

Socio-economic survey was designed to collect information as a means of improving

understanding of local resource management systems. Survey provided information on

interaction with the government decision-making systems and community perceptions of trends

and priority issues.
