REPORT ON CELEBRATION OF NAVROTSAV

SVKM’s NMIMS – MPTP, SHIRPUR CAMPUS

As per the Indian tradition, Navrotsav (navratri celebration) was organized on 24th September’ 2016 (Saturday) at SVKM’s NMIMS - MPTP, Shirpur Campus between 06.00 pm to 09.30 pm. The celebration started by offering prayers to Goddess Navdurga and then by performing Garba and Dandiya Raas’’. The event started around 07.00 p.m. with a prayer song by the artists. The event

was well attended by the all the enthusiastic students, faculty and staff members in

traditional grooming. All the participants cherished the performance of Orchestra

with a vibrant dancing style of Garba and Dandiya Raas’’.

All the Students, Faculty and Staff Members of MPTP, Shirpur Campus along with

their family member were invited to attend the event. To nourish the participants,

mouth-watering snacks were served by the Dining Contractor. The event was

followed by delicious food for the dinner at common mess of boy’s hostel dining

area. The navrotsav event became an excellent example of celebration of tradition

with joy and fervour at its fullest along with the discipline of students.

Hon’ble Jt. President SVKM – Shri. Bhupeshbhai R. Patel and Member Managing

Committee, SVKM - Shri. Rajubhai Shah, made special facilitation of the event with

the availability of Performance of the Renowned Professional Orchestra– Headed

by Mr. Manish Parekh from Mumbai. This orchestra proved to be the main

attraction of the event. Hon’ble Shri. Rajgopal Bhandari, Member – Managing

Committee – SVKM facilitated the event with Financial Approval. As per the

Directives of the Hon’ble Director - Dr. R. S. Gaud & event was facilitated by Chief

Administrator - Mr. Rahul Dande, with special arrangements of stage decorations,

lights, sound system from Mumbai along with emergency first aid medical facility

and travel facility for Shirpur and Dhule. Security agency had also made the

special security deployments to avoid the collisions as well as to ensure the

prevalence of Discipline. The housekeeping staff was also deployed at the venue to

facilitate and maintain the cleanliness during the event.

Joint efforts of all Members of Administration Team, Faculties, Staff of MPTP and a

Group of Students were involved for smooth coordination of activities and made

the event successful.
