A. Logging In
If you are at school, you will first need to log in to a computer:
nbss\username
password
B. Accessing & Launching the Form
Whether you are at school or at home, you will access the form in the same way...
1. From the HomePage of the District 2 website (http://www.district2.nbed.nb.ca ), click the drop-
down beside Schools and select School Info.
2. Scroll down and click on the link to your school’s website.

3. On the left-hand side of the HomePage, under “If It Hurts, It’s Wrong,” click the link entitled “Report
Hurtful Behaviour.”
4. You will be prompted to log in to the Portal:
nbss\username

AT SCHOOL
5. The form will open immediately.
AT HOME
5. You will be taken to the Provincial Portal. Scroll down. Under My Collaborative Sites, click Student
Portal-District 2.

6. On the HomePage of the Student Portal-District 2, click the blue Report It! button.
AT Home: If you see the following message, click No.

C. Completing & Submitting the Form
Part 1: Report Details
1. The only field that you will need to fill in is Grade. Simply click the drop-down arrow and select your
grade.
2. Click Next.
Please Note: The rest of your information will appear automatically based on your log-in.

Part 2: Hurtful Incident-- Time
1. Check off the time when the hurtful incident took place. If you observed or experienced more than
one hurtful incident that day, you can check off more than one time.
2. Click Next.

Part 3: Hurtful Incident-- Location
1. Check off the Location where the hurtful incident took place. If you observed or experienced more
than one hurtful incident that day, you can check off more than one location.
2. Click Next.
Please Note: If you need to edit or add information to an earlier part of the form, simply click Previous
in the lower-left.

Part 4: Hurtful Incident—Type of Hurtful Behaviour
1. Check off the type of hurtful behaviour. You can check off more than one type of behaviour.
2. Click Next.

Part 5: Hurtful Incident—Student(s) Who Were Hurt
1. Type in the following for the student or students who were hurt:
Last Name
First Name
You might have been the person who was hurt, or you may have witnessed someone else being hurt.
2. From the drop-down, select the Grade of the student(s) who were hurt.
3. Click Next.

Part 6: Hurtful Incident—Student(s) Who Chose Hurtful Behaviour
1. Type in the following for the student or students who chose the hurtful behaviour:
Last Name
First Name
2. From the drop-down, select the Grade of the student(s) who chose the hurtful behaviour.
3. Click Next.

Part 7: Hurtful Incident—Incident Details
1. Briefly describe what happened. How did one person hurt another?
2. Click Next.

Part 8: Hurtful Incident—Report Summary
In the final part of the form, you:
1. Can change or add to the information you have entered into the form.
2. Must remember to click Submit.
3. The form closes in the Student Portal - District 2.
D. What Happens After I Submit the Form?
When you click Submit, your Principal or Vice Principal will receive an email with all of the information
you have entered into the form. A member of the administrative team or a teacher will then follow up
on the incident.
