SECRETARIATS REPORT ON THE FILLING UP OF THE TWO REMAINING

PSR SLOTS FOR THE TERM 2013-2016

1. The Secretariat is pleased to apprise the Council on the selection of the

last two (2) Private Sector Representative (PSR) nominees to the Councilfor the term 2013-2016. During the previous PSR Selection Assembly heldon 19 August 2013, only eleven (11) of the thirteen (13) PSR sector slotsgenerated nominees. The Council decided during its ReorganizationalMeeting on 23 August 2013, to create a separate PSR slot for the SeniorCitizens to replace the slot allocated for Victims of Disasters, the latterhaving generated no nominees. The PSR slot for the Consumers Group,in which the lone private sector organization (PSO) which participated inthe selection did not meet the qualifications, was retained. Hence, theSecretariat generated nominees for the Consumers Group and SeniorCitizens PSR slots. The two PSR nominees shall complete the thirteen

PSR slots comprising the 25% private sector representation in the Counciland join the eleven nominees already confirmed by the Council.

2. A PSR Selection Assembly for the selection of the two PSR nominees wasconducted on 17 September 2013 at the NEDA-RDC XI Center, Bangkal,Davao City. Each sector was participated by a lone qualified nominee.The following is the list of the two RDC XI PSR nominees selected to fill theremaining slots for the term 2010-2013, that is being submitted for theCouncils confirmation:
