This course aims to provide students with fundamental knowledge and practical skills on the subject of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). The course is conducted in an interactive way with case studies and hands-on experiments.

GD&T is a graphic language used by mechanical designers, engineers, and quality inspection operators to effectively and accurately communicate with one another through detailed drawings. It defines the geometry of mechanical parts without any ambiguities through symbols for geometric dimensions, tolerances and relative positions among features and datums. With GD&T defined drawings, desired forms and fits can be realised. This ensures the intended function of the parts and assemblies.

Who Should Attend

Why This Course

• Mechanical designers and engineers• Quality manufacturing inspection operators, engineers and managers• Those interested in understanding and applying engineering drawings

GD&T is a powerful communication tool used in the precision engineering industry. These days, more companies are required to generate drawings that are dimensioned and toleranced with GD&T. This course is conducted by instructors with strong industrial experience in using GD&T. It also includes case studies discussions and intensive hands-on sessions to enhance the participants’ GD&T understanding.
