How to use the equipment safely

If any llquid or object faIls inside theequipment, please contact a specializedtechnician.Do not connect the equipment to the mainsuntil aII the other connections have beenmade.

The mains socket that ls going to be used toconnect the equipment should be locatednearby and should be easily accessible.Make sure that aII power cords, plugs andcables are not pinched or bent sharply toprevent any possibility of damage, electricalshock or fire.Unplug the unit power cord by gripping theplug only.

General description

Range of amplifiers designed for multimediadistribution in small/medium size buildings.These amplifiers feature forward and activereturn path with their correponding range ofattenuators and equalizers that provide theoptimum adjustment to deliver the right outputlevel in accordance with the installation needs.Amplifier's setting up is carried out by meansof removable jumpers that allow to select fixedstepped values. The use of jumpers allows aneasy reading of each setting.

The active return path is fully configurable bymeans of plug-in jumpers. Attenuation rangesfrom O to 18 dB in fixed steps of 2 dB. Theequalizer is an interstage type, ranging from Oto 6 dB in fixed steps of 3 dB.

The forward path features both configura bieinput attenuator an input equalizer by meansof jumpers in steps of 2 dB. Furthermore, ithas selecta bie interstage attenuation andequalization by menas of two double jumpers.According to the position of the jumper a fixed 6dB can be selected for any of the two interstageparameters.

The amplifier is housed within a die-castenclosure that contributes to reduce thetemperature of its components due to itsexcellent heat disipation.An ON/OFF LED indicates when the amplifieris connected to mains. On the other hand, aLED inside indicates if the amplifier is beingpowered.

Once opened (untightening the screw locatedon its front), an intuitive diagram of blocksexplains how the amplifier works to achieve thedesired out put level.

Open the amplifier by untightening the screwlocated on its front lid.

The next drawing with the amplifier's blockdiagram is inside the unit. To set attenuation/equalization, plug-in the jumper into therequired value for the installation.
