Looking into filmmaking BBC FILM NETWORKThere is a film making guide provided on this website http://www.bbc.co.uk/filmnetwork/filmmaking/guide/production/legal-guide-production-agreements we have used this as a tool for our short film production. We plan to use the legal advice provided by the BCC film network. We aim to give out a contributors release form to our actors as it gives us the right to use their performances in our film. We are also entitled to have their commitment for the days/weeks that we need them (the shooting period). We all have designated roles to play in the production and our location manager is responsible getting the location, they have found a definite location for most of our scenes and there has also been a letter sent to another one of our desired locations asking for permission to use their premises. The locations also allows us to rehearse for our scenes rather than just going straight to them to film right away. Rehearsing also gives us opportunities to make alterations and additions to the set which will then be put back to the condition they were in before.

SCREEN YORKSHIREhttp://www.screenyorkshire.co.uk/filming/ As we live in Yorkshire, the website Screen Yorkshire has influenced us greatly because it provides key topics such as locations, crew, facilities and travel infrastructure. Yorkshire is full of locations to choose from such as gritty urban streets, quaint villages and ancient abbeys. Yorkshire is a good place for travel such as being at the heart of UK’s motorway network. As it is in the centre of the UK so it is not too far away from nearby big cities if we wanted to expand our production location.
