I decided on a perfume advert as I have a great interest in
the product and though I would be able to work well with
it. I knew there was a lot of other perfume adverts out
there that I could research and look at.

ROBERTO CAVALLI - New Fragrance (2012)
This advert has a jazz song over the stop of it and no sound effectswhat so ever. This gives it a really dramatic feel as the advert is very
unrealistic with tigers and unreal parties. At the end of the advert
there is a man saying Roberto Cavalli The new fragrance for her.

My Advert Script
SMPTE Hr:Mi:Se:FR Dialogue
00:00-00:01 White screen comes up with the
words 'LOVERDOSE' in bold simple
letter appear and it slowly zooms
in with a woman whispering in a
seductive voice 'loverdose'
00:01-00:02 .Woman holds a perfume bottle
and sprays her neck. It is a close
up shot. This is also were the
music kicks in this music being the
very famous song Donna Summer
- Love to love you.
00:02-00:05 A transition effect of the clip
sliding away to reveal the new one
is used.The camera follow the
woman walk focusing on her bum.
There is also an orange tone to the
video at this point. There is also
the sun gleaming in the
background.
00:05-00:20 All in the same scene and location.
They show a close up of a boy and
a girl laughing and smiling while
sipping drinks this is a head shot.
They then cut to the woman
we originally see walking slowly
somewhere which is also a head

shot and the camera is following
her. It then cuts so you see the
woman sitting down with the
other two people we saw and and
camera is still moving from a
distance and it is a mid shot. It
then cuts to a head shot of
her smiling and talking but we can
not hear what she is saying. Cuts
again to a shot of the TV where
they are and we can see a boxing
match going on between two
men. The woman bites her finger
in a flirty way looking at the TV.
Then cuts back to the boxing
match were the man looks at her
through the TV and mouths ' i loveyou ' and then gets knocked out.
Over the loud music playing you
can very slighty hear the man say 'i
love you' and then also the
crowed cheering from the TV. He
drops to the ground and quite SFX
are used. The woman looks at the
TV confused its then cuts back to
the man layign on the
floor smiling still and then back to
her smirkign slightly.
00:20-00:37 It then has a montage of men who
she doesn't know whispering ' i

love you to her' it starts of with
the same transition as it has used
before. The oman walks down the
street with a SFX over the music of
the sound of her shoes on the
pavement. A man holding
another woman's hand looks at
her and whispers ' i love you '
a transition is used and shows a
yellow taxi and a man looking out
the window it the cuts to her no
noticing and just minding her own
business walking down the same
street then cuts to the
man looking out the back of the
taxi window and again whispering
' i love you'. Same transition of acar outside a large building while
the woman walks up to it
an attractive ticket man
is writing her a ticket. Without her
even acknowledging the man she
throws her large bag into the open
roof car as she slowly get in the
car she looks up at the man. It cuts
to him smirking at her
and moving the documents in his
hands , then back to her looking
up at him flirty and smiling , he
then rips up the tickets

still smiling.
00:37-00:43 The same transition is used and
you can see her driving away from
the building in the same open roof
car. It then cuts to you seeing a
close up of her parking the car but
you can not see the location. It
cuts to the camera being at the
bottom of the stairs doing a low
angle shot of her walking downthe stairs while two men stand at
the top of the stairs. She looks at
them and they instantly fall to the
floor and start fallign down the
stairs but she does not seem to
even notice it.
00:43 Again the same transition is used
and you see a dark room which
you can make out to be a night
club when the light flashes you
can see her face from the
shoulders up. It then cuts to the
crowed with but all you can see if
there sillouttes. It then cuts to
various people whispering into
the camera 'i love you '. It then
cuts to her as she blushes from a
over head shot so you can see her
walking through the crowed.

Target Audience
My target audience for this advert was young mature adults from the ages 20-
30 I chose these ages as I thought the advert is pretty raunchy and maybe to
explicate and confusing for a younger audience to watch. The advert also only
features people around that age as well so they will morel likely to want to
watch and feel they can relate to it a little more.
My audience would have a larger female audience compared to male as it is a
ladies perfume advert and that is who they are trying to attract. They have also
made the advert so the female audience will watch it and want to live the life
that the actresses does and this then leads to them going out and buying the
perfume.
Legal and ethical considerations
I needed to take into consideration the type of people that will be watching
this advert so I had to make sure I had nothing that would offend anyone or be
inappropriate. I also had to look at the legal side of things this meant I had to
make sure any content I used that was copyrighted I needed to state it was for
course work use only and then I also made sure all the music I downloaded of
the internet or anywhere else was copyright free.
Planning
I started planning my advert by looking into similar adverts and started
creating ideas. I put these ideas into mind maps so I had a clear view and could
easily look over them to then decided what my final product would be like.
