Welcome to the Performing Arts Center at Kent State Tuscara-was, the premier arts and cultural presenter in Tuscarawas County. Since our opening in 2010, we have successfully

hosted numerous weddings, fundraisers, conferences, banquets, trade shows and private meetings.

The contemporary elegance of the center, as well as unique flexible spac-es and experienced professional staff make the Performing Arts Center the ideal location for your event. Our extraordinary, 50,000-square-foot center features a versatile, two-level lobby with seating for more than 350 guests, a multipurpose rehearsal room, dressing rooms, classrooms and our spectacular 1,100-seat theatre.

Booking Instructions

1. Initial InquiryContact the Performing Arts Center to tour the facility and check avail-ability of your desired date(s). Availability is limited, be prepared with alternate dates and a general plan of your event and its timeline. If your desired date(s) is/are open and your event is compatible with the venue, you may book the date(s) or place a tentative hold.

If another party has a tentative hold on your desired date, you may chal-lenge their hold by submitting a completed Usage Agreement and full usage fee. The challenged party will have five working days to pay the usage fee or release the challenged date. Only one tentative hold can be challenged at a time.

2. Usage Agreement and DepositWe issue a Usage Agreement outlining the rules and regulations for us-ing the facility. Return this agreement with your deposit (50 percent of total cost) to finalize your date.

3. Event and Site VisitPrior to your event:• Thirty days before your event, schedule a final site visit to discuss,

among other things, the floor plan and a timeline that details your event.

• Confirm desired guest services, food and beverage requirements with TRAX and any additional needs.

• Notify outside vendors when they will have access to the facility.• Pay any remaining balance due to the Performing Arts Center.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are my catering options?TRAX Diner is the official caterer for all events occurring at the Per-forming Arts Center. TRAX Diner is a full service caterer that provides personal service and attention to detail necessary for a successful and memorable event.

(In the event that TRAX is unable to provide services for your event, an outside caterer

may be engaged, with the approval of the Performing Arts Center staff.)

When are payments due?Payment deadlines will be outlined in your Usage Agreement.

Where do we park vehicles for event staff, loading and unloading? A limited amount of parking is available at the rear of the Performing Arts Center. If your event requires more than 15 vehicles (including Performing Arts Center personnel) overflow parking is available in lots D and E in front of the Performing Arts Center.

For events that require loading and unloading of trucks, a loading dock is available at the rear of the Performing Arts Center.

What time can we load in and set up?Access hours will be determined at the time of booking. A Performing Arts Center staff member must be present at all times when the User and their staff, performers, volunteers, vendors and guests are in the building.

Is the building ADA accessible?Yes! The entire building is accessible.
