4. Bookings and cancellations

After logging in successfully you can select one of the IRS functions. You can book or cancel routes with toll requirement for registered and non-registered trucks, as well as set up default routes. You can familiarise yourself with all the functions at www.toll-collect.de by using the "learning software for logging-on via the Internet".

4.1 Bookings

After logging in successfully you can now book a route. To do this, click on the “Registration” function on the function selection page. The next step is to select the vehicle. Vehicles that you have registered with Toll Collect are listed here. These are selected by clicking on the circle in front of the country code. To add a non-registered truck click on “enter”. Please note that to enter a new route, “A-Z route selection entry” must be highlighted.

Toll Collect GmbH, Berlin, V 5.0, as at 10/2015 5 of 14

To enter a truck, provide the country ID, the official license plate, the number of axles and the emission category. Click on "next" to finish your entries. Note: Self-recorded vehicles only remain stored in the system for 24 hours. If you use the vehicles more frequently, please register them with Toll Collect.

Selecting the starting point (www.mauttabelle.de) In the next step choose the start of the validity period for your tour. It is not possible to enter a time in the past. If you know the name of the junction at which the toll route starts, enter this in the field to the right of “from”. Otherwise click on “map”. Note: You can also complete the names automatically by entering the first letter(s) and then clicking on "next". You will receive a shortlist of potential hits with "from" and/or "to" (target toll-route entry point) from which you can choose the exact name. If the spelling does not match any stored toll-route entry point, you will receive an error message which says "Invalid route entred". Federal trunk roads booking: Do not forget the number You want to book a trip on a federal trunk road online or at the toll station terminal? For the route selection, please always enter the number of the federal trunk road at first and then type in the name of the driveway. For example: B100 Landsberg - without blank between B and number! Unlike motorways for federal trunk roads the name of the driveway as specification is not enough. If you type in only the number of the federal road (e.g. B100) and click "next" all available driveways will be offered to choose from.

Toll Collect GmbH, Berlin, V 5.0, as at 10/2015 6 of 14

Magnify the map segment until you find the right junction – “Potsdam-Nord”, for example – … …. and the junction is transferred to the overview map. To confirm the junction, click on “takeover”.

Toll Collect GmbH, Berlin, V 5.0, as at 10/2015 7 of 14

Default routes If you use the same routes regularly, you can save default routes using the “default routes” function on the function selection page. To log-on a default route, click on the circle next to “select default route”. Select a registered vehicle from the list or enter a non-registered truck using “enter”. Click on "next" to confirm your entries.

Select the desired route from the list by clicking on the circle next to the default route. You then need to specify the start of the validity period. Click on "next" to confirm your entries. After the start of the period of validity, cancellations are possible only at toll station terminals. Parts of the route can be cancelled at any toll station terminal along the booked route. Please note: The system refers to a cancellation fee here. This fee amounts to € 3.00 per cancellation. The subsequent overview page displays all the data for the route to be cancelled. Click on “cancel registration” to confirm.

Toll Collect GmbH, Berlin, V 5.0, as at 10/2015 11 of 14

You will then receive confirmation of the cancelled log-on. You should print this for your files. If you subsequently decide to make the journey you have just cancelled, you will need to make a new booking for the route.

I have not used the IRS before. How do I login?

Under www.toll-collect.de click on “Book a route“ or go directly to www.maut.toll-collect.de. Click on the “Initial login“ link and follow the instructions. Please have your User ID (user number) and your master PIN ready. What does “Internet login” mean?

The “Internet login” is the personal ID of your choice which you need to access the Internet Reservation System (IRS). As soon as you have specified your “Internet login” in the IRS, connecting with your free chosen “Password” you will be able to access the IRS. What rules do I have to observe when choosing my “Internet login”?

The “Internet login” must have between 8 and 20 characters, at least one of which must be a letter. Symbols and umlauts are not valid. The system does not allow any other entries. Avoid simple identifiers such as birthdays, city or forenames as far as possible. Please note: the “Internet login” must not be the same as the “Password”. What rules do I have to observe when choosing my password?

The password must contain at least 8 characters and must be no longer than 20 characters. The password must include at least one letter and one numeral. Symbols and umlauts are not valid. The system does not allow any other entries. Avoid using simple passwords, such as birthdays, town names or first names, as far as possible. Please note: your “Internet login” and “Password” must not be identical. What e-mail address are the log-on confirmations sent to?

Log-on confirmations are sent to the e-mail address specified in the IRS. This e-mail address can be changed at any time in the “User data” section.

Important: Please check that the e-mail address has been entered correctly. It is not possible to send the log-on confirmation again. We therefore advise you to print out the log-on receipt. The e-mail will be sent immediately after the log-on has been successfully completed. It will have a digital signature which will confirm that it was sent by Toll Collect. If you use an older e-mail program or if your network includes system security (e.g. a firewall, virus scanner, spam filter etc.) you may receive irritating messages. Please remember that it is not possible to send the log-on confirmation again.

What should I do if I forget my password?

Click on the “Forgotten your password?“ link on the IRS homepage (www.maut.toll-collect.de). After you have entered your “User ID” (user number) the “Password” will be automatically sent to the e-mail address specified in the IRS. If you do not want your password to be sent by e-mail, please contact Customer Service. You can have your account reset so that you can enter a new password.

Toll Collect GmbH, Berlin, V 5.0, as at 10/2015 13 of 14

What should I do if my account is blocked?

Your account will be blocked if you enter an incorrect password five times. If this occurs, please contact Customer Service. They will reset your account to its status before initial login. Then, log onto the IRS via the “Initial login“ link. You will need your user number and the master PIN. Whom can I contact if I have any questions?

Please contact the hotline of the Customer Service for all questions regarding the IRS. Replies to the sender address for log-on receipts ([email protected]) will not be processed. How far in advance can I book routes via the internet?

You can log-on routes via the internet up to three days before beginning your journey. Can I log-on routes via the internet for non-registered vehicles?

It is possible to make bookings for non-registered trucks. During the booking process select “enter”. After that the data has to be recorded again manually in the IEBS for another log-on. I would like to type in the start and destination for my route. What do I have to bear in mind?

You can also type the start and the destination of your route directly into the route selection fields. Please ensure that they are entered correctly. Information on correct entries can be found under www.mauttabelle.de. I would like to cancel my journey. What do I have to bear in mind?

Cancellations can only be made as complete cancellations in the IEBS by entering the log-on number before starting a journey. After the start of the period of validity, cancellations are possible only at toll station terminals. Parts of the route can be cancelled at any toll station terminal along the booked route. Cancellation of the entire route is possible only at the toll station terminal at the start of the route. Are cancellations in the truck toll system chargeable?

A service fee of EUR 3.00 is charged for cancelling a manual toll road log-on. No fee is charged for full cancellations submitted within 5 minutes after entering information via Internet or within 15 minutes after log-on at a toll station terminal. These cancellations are only free of charge when an Internet log-on is cancelled via Internet, or when a toll station terminal log-on is cancelled on the same terminal. Cancellation is not possible when the refundable amount is less than or equal to the EUR 3.00 cancellation fee. Can I register a vehicle in the Internet Reservation System?

The vehicles can only be stored permanently in the system in writing by using the corresponding form. To do this, use the “Vehicle registration” form at www.toll-collect.de. Send the completed and signed form to the address given. You can also register your vehicles yourself using the Toll Collect customer portal.
