    During the development of Resident Evil Revelations, there was a lot of trial and

    error involved in design decisions before the nal outcome was reached. However,

    the vast majority of these attempts were not made public. This Resident Evil

    Revelations artbook is a behind-the-scenes look which unveils the secrets behind this

    horric masterpiece. It is lled with sketches, early concepts and character & creature

    design processes that will give insights to the thought processes of the designers of a

    game that forms a crucial cornerstone of the Resident Evil franchise.

    Moves slowly and does not feel pain. Once it grabs itstarget, it can inict a lot of damage. Likes to corner humansin narrow pathways, and targets those who appear to bemost nutritious. Can dislodge its joints to slide through ductsand other narrow spaces. Body parts can be shot off,limiting its mobility. However, they will grow back over time.

    Acts on instinct, not intellectTheir reach is lengthened when attacking with a long weapon,so it is harder to slip past them from the side. Pincers also havean attack where they charge while swinging their weapons.

    Globsters encountered on land have simple movementsand are excellent for target practice. You can dodge theirattacks and aim for weak spots. They are large andgrotesque. Globsters in the water move across the wavesand will swallow whole anyone who is in their way.

    They are weak on land but powerful in the water

    Howls and appears from strategic locations based on theterrain. It moves fast, giving the impression that it willchase you down. Its quick movements and low bodyposition make it difcult to hit with bullets. It is notbothered by changes in altitude.

    Appears suddenly and gives chase

    Mouth opens in thedirection of the arrows.

    Always appears in groups, not alone. When the group gets low in numbers,it will call out for more to join them.

    Calls others to joinDesigners NotesIts texture is pale and bloated, like a drowned body. The reddishpink coloration in its mouth shouldnt be too bright. Its body iscovered in wrinkles and bumps. The texture should be dirty andnon-uniform.

    Certain parts of its body arerotting, resulting in the outerskin peeling to expose innerorgans.

    Sets a trap that immobilizes a player toincrease the effectiveness of its instant killattack. The faces attached to its head arealways wailing.

    Appears mid-way through the game. Usesa chainsaw and traps

    This hunter uses four limbsto walk, and has a powerfulclaw-based attack.

    An instant kill attack will result in a gameover without a chance at recovery. Battles

    with this common enemy will be tense. Thisattack has a low accuracy.

    The tension of the insant kill attack

    Moves quickly and performs close-range attacks. Damages a player with hit-and-away tactics, and nishes them off with an instant killattack. Is able to jump around in an agile manner. Unlike the slow-moving Ooze, they are hard to slow down with weaker weapons.

    A close-combat ghter with speed

    Becomes visible when attacking or taunting. Also loses transparency when taking damage or affected by a pulse grenade. (Reverts to thebehavior of a Hunter as well)

    Scagdead(Normal)The Scagdead shoots claw traps from its head. When aplayer steps on a claw trap they will be temporarilyimmobilized, and vulnerable to instant kill attacks. Clawtraps will break after a set period of time. They do not hitother enemies.

    Each individual is weak, letting the player experience thethrill of killing them in bunches or blasting a group withan area attack. Travels in groups and tries to swarm theplayer. The type of enemy that can be a hassle in largegroups.

    Sea Creepers appear in waist-deep water. They swimfast and possess a powerful grabbing attack, so they cansneak up and nail you with an instant kill.

    Moves quickly within water

    Its skin has wrinklesthat display a varietyof colors.

    Its claws, heels, andankles are made ofbone.

    When attacking, the spinecan be seen through therib bones, giving it agrotesque feel.

    Modeled after Italian street cafs. The ceiling isstained glass and the lights towards the back arebroken, making everything a bit dark. Thereappears to have been ghting here, as there areblood stains, glass shards and broken doors, andoverturned tables and chairs. The plants are dead.
