This morning there is a retiring offering for the Earl Haig Fund Magister Perontinus Magnus (Perotin) c1160 – 1205, was the first organist of Notre Dame in Paris. His Magnus Lieber Organi is one of the earliest known collections of church music, in which voices are supported by a primitive organ. His music is characterised by rhythmic vigour and strong clashing harmonies. This postlude is a homage to arguably the Father of organ music.

(Organ voluntaries – the organ voluntary played at the conclusion of each service is part of the offering of worship. Members of the congregation are very welcome to remain in their seats or

come into the choir area to listen to the music)

At the end of the service please join us for coffee/tea at the back of the church. If you are visiting Fisherwick for the first time please introduce yourself to our ministers Rev Dr Gordon

Campbell, Rev Kathryn Viner, Rev Gary McDowell or any member of the congregation.

Prayer for Others – Overseas SYRIA Unfortunately the 'Geneva II' Peace Conference which was due to take place this month has been delayed. Meanwhile, the conflict in Syria continues daily. The United Nations (UN) estimate that more than 100,000 have been killed by the conflict; two million have fled the country, and 4.5 million are living displaced within Syria. The UN also estimate that around 9.3 million people in Syria (about 40% of the population) are now need of humanitarian assistance.

• Pray that effort will be made on all sides to hold 'Geneva II' as soon as possible.

• Pray for the people who continue to suffer as a result of the conflict; particularly for Christians who are increasingly being targeted by rebel fighters.

• Pray for effective humanitarian provision for people in Syria and for refugees.
