Following consultation with the DuPage County Health Department, District 204 administrators make the decision to close buildings after learning an individual has been in the building who has tested positive or presumed positive for COVID-19.
This closure is a safety measure that protects students, staff and the community while the building undergoes extensive cleaning.
The following closures have been reported:• Still Middle School, Closed 8/24/20 - 8/25/20• Metea Valley High School, Closed 8/20/20 - 8/23/20• Clow Elementary School, Closed 8/12/20 - 8/17/20• Neuqua Valley High School, Partially Closed 8/12/20 – 8/18/20• Crouse Education Center, Closed 8/8/20 - 8/12/20• Prairie Children Preschool, Closed 8/8/20 - 8/12/20

Teachers in Classrooms Elementary School Approximately 45% of our elementary level staff were in classrooms on Thursday and Friday teaching remotely.
Middle School A variety of classes were taught by teachers in their classrooms on Thursday and Friday including Chorus, Math, Science, PLTW, ELA and Strategic Reading.
High School A variety of classes were taught by teachers in their classrooms on Thursday and Friday including the following: • Algebra 2• College Algebra• AP Calculus AB and BC• English 1 and 2 Honors• FACS – Culinary 1 and 2• FACS – Apparel Construction 1 and 2• Introduction to Engineering Design • Broadcast Journalism and Production 2 and 3 • Physics• Biology • PE 1 and 2

Special Education Services Update
• Students will be scheduled for vision and hearing screenings by building nurses.
• Students will be scheduled for evaluations and reevaluations for purposes of special education eligibility.
• Individual remote learning plans developed for all students with IEPs and 504 Plans implemented September 3, 2020.
• According to students’ individual remote learning plans, some students will be brought in for instructional and/or related services.

U.S. Department of Agriculture extended the distribution of free meals to students through December 31, 2020.• Meals provided at no cost to students until 12/31/20• Continuation of grab and go meals available for pick-up
at all elementary schools• USDA waiver will save approximately $18,000 a month• The district has provided more than 410,000 meals to
families since March.
