• For Wednesday: Inside the Cuban Revolution: be prepared to discuss the book: What is the main argument? What new evidence does she use? What are the implications of her argument for our narratives and memories of the revolution? Don’t worry about details, focus on the overall argument and her interpretation of pre-revolutionary events.

For Wednesday March 5 Paper on sources: 20%Choose two texts we have read so far and discuss the author’s use of sources. What kind of sources do they use? How do they use them to make their arguments? What is the nature of evidence in these texts? How would the argument change with different sources? (you don’t need to answer all of these questions, necessarily. They are meant to prompt your thinking.)1000 words. Office hours: Mondays 1-2, Thursdays 2-3. This week I will also be in Wednesday and Friday morning, 9:30-11.
