Revolutionary Face Masks Kill Viruses and Can Be Used Repeatedly. RESPILON Will Launch Them in Early April.

The Czech company RESPILON has responded to the rampant outbreak of the coronavirus by quickly developing equipment with enhanced protection. Thanks to its experience in the field of pathogen interception and to the cooperation with foreign partners, RESPILON is now introducing a unique innovation: nanofiber face masks and respirators enriched with accelerated copper oxide that actively kills viruses. RESPILON’s revolutionary products will be available for the state authorities and the public during the first half of April with the possibility to pre-order since 20th March. As early as during the first half of May, RESPILON will launch a new production line in Brno. General Director of RESPILON, Roman Zima, adds: “We feel that launching production here, in the Czech Republic, is our duty – to prevent our country from having people asking in vain for protective equipment.”

Accelerated Copper Oxide as Pathogen Killer So far, RESPILON’s nanofiber masks could intercept the coronavirus effectively, but they were primarily designed as single-use masks. The RESPILON team has therefore focused on extending their efficiency and on safer handling of used face masks. While, together with Israeli experts, the team have enhanced the properties of the filtration material, in Turkey, the team has successfully negotiated a new production capacity – local state-of-the-art production line. � This face mask has RESPILON® nanofiber filter with 99.9% filtration efficiency for viruses and bacteria. The level of filtration efficiency was confirmed by an independent testing in American institute Nelson Labs.

� A world’s innovation in the field of respiratory protective equipment is enrichment of the filter by accelerated copper oxide. Thanks to it, ReSpimask® VK not only mechanically intercepts viruses and bacteria, it actively kills them as well.

� The mask is the first product of this type which can be worn repeatedly and for a longer time, 24 hours at maximum. Thanks to the deactivation of viruses there is no risk of their further reproduction in the filter. Both the new products will be available by the first half of April. The number of face masks produced daily will be 100,000 pieces, the number of respirators 30,000 pieces. RESPILON is prepared for the demand of both medical facilities and authorities, as well as end customers. Roman Zima adds: “The government’s directive about the necessity to primarily supply the medical staff ‘on the front line’ we perceive as a correct and logical decision. Particularly these specialists come into contact with the highest numbers of potentially infected people on daily basis. So as not to collapse, the health care system services need constant and efficient protection.”

Everything Completely Under Control: Production in the Czech Republic by the First Half of May 2020 In an effort to operate independently of decisions of foreign authorities, RESPILON relocated a part of its production home to the Czech Republic. RESPILON is currently working very hard on the construction of its new production line for nanofiber masks in Brno and will launch with its first new “made in Czech Republic” pieces already during the first half of May 2020. In order to satisfy the current enormous demand, RESPILON will produce simultaneously in Turkey and in the Czech Republic. These two types of protective equipment against viruses and bacteria, including the coronavirus, will be produced in Brno:

RespiPro® Face Mask � RESPILON’s customers already know this product very well. Its features are a great breathability and 99.9% filtration

efficiency for viruses and bacteria confirmed by testing in American institute Nelson Labs.

� RespiPro® was designed with a carbon layer (FFP2: nanofiber + odors intercepting carbon layer).

� RespiPro® with carbon will be now enriched with accelerated copper oxide, so its level of protection will further increase. RespiPro® will not only mechanically intercept viruses and bacteria by RESPILON® nanofiber filter, but thanks to copper oxide also kill them. This will extend the life of the face mask up to 24 hours. If you use the face mask e.g., 4 hours per day, it will provide you with sufficient protection against the coronavirus up to 6 days.
