Goals

Connect to local organic farms Provide healthy salad bar lunch option

once a week to staff and students at Reynolds

Where are we at?

We held an evening meeting for interested students, staff parents and community members winter 2010

We created a steering committee We created a Vision We connected to experts

produce we were going to require for our needs He has agreed help get the students running the program

a work experience placement in an ICC restaurant.

Joanne Bays—Farm to School Programhttp://www.phabc.org/modules.php?name=Farmtoschool&pa=showpage&pid=40 Current Co-Chair of the Vancouver Food Policy Council Co-Investigator in a community based research project exploring

the impact of school food systems on climate change. Over the past two years has lead the development of a province

wide Farm to School Network linking farm to school activity in urban, rural, remote, and aboriginal communities.
