Over the past few years, CIPU has contributed to…

– changes in stakeholder constellations in the field of urban policy in Luxembourg

– an increased concentration of forces and financial resources among urban stakeholders

– an increasing willingness to cooperate and a more active involvement of urban stakeholders in European and national decision-making processes

– greater consideration of local divergences and cities’ specific needs

– a scrutiny of existing policies, processes, values and stakeholder constellations

– a more efficient use of European, national and local resources

RFSC: not only a tool for cities !

Link the RFSC to university curricula

• Presentation of the RFSC to students from the Master course in spatial planning and from trainingcourses for practitioners taught at the University of Luxembourg

• In depth RFSC training session planned later this year

� External experts play an important role in urban development in small and medium-sized cities

� Scientific input is important for the further development of the tool

Link the RFSC to other activities in the field of urban policy in LuxembourgLink the RFSC to other activities in the field of urban policy in Luxembourg

• Test the RFSC in the framework of intermunicipal cooperation in urban areas (testing of themonitoring tool)

� RFSC contributes to creating a common undertstanding of and a common vision on sustainableand integrated urban development

� It supports horizontal and vertical cooperation

• Include findings and experiences from the RFSC in other projects focusing on sustainable andintegrated urban policy in Luxembourg such as Europe 2020 going local (Interreg IV C) or the OECD Project on measuring the potential of green growth (Indicators of local transition to a low-carbon economy)

� Create synergies with other projects to reach new target groups
