Beer:30 and all its variations remain one of my best sellers when I’m out doing shows. I call it my Beer:30 economy. But the Beer:30 economy is also the sort of underlying economy that still fuels Florida . 5 o’Clock somewhere doesn’t mean a lot to people who work beyond 5 or not even too 5. Florida has an active service, healthcare and agricultural economy that is not 9 to 5.

This is a primarily original RhondaK sign that I started selling back when I began selling and painting signs. This is a pure RhondaK sentiment. It is fun to have come beer at 7:30am but usually by noon the bar tab is quite cruel.

7:30am? Seriously, breakfast beer is the best. You should never drink when you’re tired. You lose the happy of it. In Bradenton Beach the Anchor Inn opens at 7:30am. You have to be quick witted to hang at this bar. You are mere steps from laying on the beach all day.

These are painted on boards from a Siesta Key back deck that burned down in part. Adds new meaning to “burning down the house.” The house survived, but the dock was replaced. Used to these boards calmly faced Skier’s Island in Robert’s Bay. I sold them long ago and hope they are enjoying interesting lives.

This is a six pack of my signs.

“Everyone should believe in something I believe I’ll have another drink” is an old saying dating back to the 1930s vaudeville times. It still holds it’s liquor a century later. My original saying is “It’s Beer:30 …5 o’clock somewhere is amateur hour.” A man bought this sign to take it to St. Lucia where it hangs in an island bar.

When I first painted the sign

“4 scores and 7 Beers ago live wasn’t this FANTASTIC” I was at a live show on Coquina Beach. A man from gated community/golf course laced Longboat Key comes by with an actual sweater tied around his actual polo shirt. He sneers at the sign. “She did it wrong…it is SCORE…”
