Students can now create their own weather report using icons from the Scrapbook. Drag the weather images from the Scrapbook directly onto the page. -By default, the Scrapbook is a "Session Scrapbook" and is saved automatically for future use as long as you are in the same session and don't restart your computer. Using the Compass Widget and the Ruler (click to see video) An example of its use is to Bisect a Line. 1) Click on the Drawing Tools Brush button, then Line Tools. Draw a line of about 3 thickness. 2) Open the Widget Bank and search for the Compass widget. 3) Drag the compass into position at one end of the line (ex. the far right end of the line) so that its pointed tail is touching the far right end of the line. 4) Dragging the re-size arrows at the left and right, you can also make the compass longer or wider. 5) Click and Rotate the top of the Pencil end to the top of the page (use the middle handle to rotate it). 6) Turn on the Pencil/Pen by de-selecting it. Now it will write. Make an arc (see below for an example). -Now that the pencil is On, it will automatically rotate as you drag it. 7) Using the Compass Toolbar, click on the 3rd button from the left (the "Draw a Circle or Arc" button) to move the compass below the line and draw another arc. This would allow you to draw a complete circle. 8) Selecting the Compass Widget again, move it to the other end of the line (the far left side) so that its pointed tail is touching the far left side of the line. 9) Draw an arc so that the lines bisect each other on top and bottom. Rotate the Compass using both the middle handle (when it's selected) and the pen's arrows (when it's active). -See below for the final result. Using the Ruler 1) Now you can Delete the Compass from the page, and search for the Ruler Widget from the Widget Bank. 2) Use the middle handle to Rotate the Ruler and line it up with the crosspoint of the line. 3) Select a Pen Tool from the Brush>>Line Tools>>Pen Tools. Pick a Color and a Line Width. 4) You can now draw a line from point to point using the Ruler as a guide. The ruler really works and clings to the line as you draw it. 5) Select and delete the Ruler from the page by using the Accelerator Menu>>Cut (or) right-click>>Cut, (or) pressing Delete on your computer keyboard. 6) You now have the Bisection Point of the line.
