RMU5 Remote Monitoring Unit

RMU5The RMU5 represents the next generation platform for Mobiltex's Cathodic Protection Remote Monitoring Units (RMU). The RMU5 is produced as a modular product, thus allowing it to serve basic installations in a cost-competitive manner, while still allowing for a product that can serve a more demanding installation through the use of add-on expansion modules.

The basic RMU5 has the following feature set:Four galvanically isolated, bi-polar analog input channels configurable for +/-158mV, +/-7.5V and +/-175VEach channel can measure DC and AC RMS voltages (i.e. induced AC measurements)>70dB line AC rejection when measuring DC signals provides stable DC measurementsAll analog channels are high impedance to allow direct connection to reference half cellsAll analog channels are 4-20mA transducer input capableMulti-stage surge protection and galvanic isolation provide maximum lightning immunityProgrammable alarm window capability on all input channelsOne digital input capable of dry contact or voltage input (optically isolated)One switched digital interrupter relay driver output with 750mA sinking capabilityIntegral health monitoring of internal voltages and temperature20x4 character wide-temperature range LCD screen for local status monitoring with noadditional equipmentTwo push button switches to allow scrolling of LCD informational screensBright dual color status LED indicators NEMA 4X, IEC529 Type IP65 enclosure for harsh environmentsEnclosure is equipped with pad-lockable quick release latchesOperation in -35° to +60°C (-31° to +140°F) ambient temperatures24VAC/DC main power input, used with external Class 2 power transformer or external DC
