STUDENTS LEARN COMPUTER SCIENCE: Students in Ms. Armstrong’s Computer Science course learn about coding and game design. It’s our first year offering Computer Science and the students seem to be enjoying the course and learning a lot. As Superintendent Dr. Cron pointed out this week on twitter- “lookout tech world, the Dogs are coming!”

IN HONOR OF STEVE JOBS: This Wednesday, I had the opportunity to visit Ms. Coulombe’s B Block English class. Students just finished reading the graphic biography about Steve Jobs and the students really enjoyed it. The students noticed that this upcoming Wednesday (10/5) is the anniversary of when Steve Jobs passed away. Students honored Mr. Jobs by making and eating an Apple-themed cake, with actual apples (Mr. Job’s favorite fruit).

COLLEGE VISITS SCHEDULED FOR OCTOBER: A representative from the following colleges will be here on these dates during all three lunches. October 12th: Roger Williams University October 13th: U Mass Dartmouth October 20th: Fisher College October 21st: Bentley College & Merrimack College October 25th: Mass College of Pharmaceutical and Health Science (MCPHS) & Salem State University SPIRIT WEEK IS COMING!: We are excited for Spirit Week next week. There is excellent information on their most recent Breast Cancer Awareness Walk as well as upcoming events. STUDENT ARTWORK OF THE WEEK: Jake Harris Gr. 9, as tudent in Foundations of Art I, completed this pencil drawing by turning shapes into forms using perspective and shading. Well done, Jake!
