From the school counselor: Hello again! I wanted to share a few more wonderful tips!
Tips to Help get Children to Listen, Most of the Time.
1) Kneel Down at their level
Making sure when you are speaking with a girl you are down at
her level (face to face) and if you are speaking with a boy that you
are shoulder to shoulder (next to them). The difference being that
girls feel a connection when you face them at their level and boys
feel a connection when you are next to them.
2) Let it go
Yes, let it go. Once you have spoken to your child about the prob-
lem go have fun with them. It shows forgiveness.
3) Practice listening to them
That means putting down whatever you are doing and listening to
them. This will model what listening is supposed to look like.
Until next month,
Your Friendly School Counselor,
Ms. Arcus

Robson Media Center News from Mrs. Rach
Hard to believe that it is already November! The Media Center has been an exciting place! Our Primary students have been learning and reviewing the different parts of a book, exploring digital libraries, and we’ve shared some amazing stories. We read the book The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds and completed a Makerspace activity in which students created their own master-pieces on paper by starting with just a dot. Stop by the Media Center and check out their fantastic creations! The Intermediate students have been learning about book awards and created their own accounts for the My Quest online book club. We read the book Rosie Revere Engineer by Andrea Beaty and will be working as part of a team on a Makerspace activity to create a glider that goes along with the story. Stop by the Library and CHECK IT OUT!

From the office: We Need Your Help!
We need your help and support in the area of daily
attendance. It is important that your child is at school during the entire day. To assist in this area we are asking the following:
Help us decrease the number of tardies by making sure your stu-
dent is on time
Help us decrease the number of students that leave early during
the school day
When children are late for school, absent or leave early, they miss
valuable instruction. Good attendance is a major factor in educational
success. We thank you for your support in sending your child to school
on time, all day, and every day!
Congratulations to our Math All Stars

¡Felicidades a nuestros “All Stars” de matemáticas!
