Rockfon introduces the NEW DEKOR

Rockfon DEKOR

The new Rockfon Dekor is well suited for areas which require a good

finish quality ceiling with durable features which make the building

interior easy to maintain.

Dekor has an attractive white painted and subtly textured surface finish with a

matt appearance, an excellent fire safety rating and Class A sound absorption.

Lighter and with lower density than the previous Rockfon Dekor, new Dekor

is easy to cut and install, whilst a new production technology ensures that

the edges are sharp, strong and flexible for an aesthetically pleasing look

and enhanced durability. Rockfon Dekor is available with two different edge

details: A-edge for a visible grid expression and E-edge for a semi-concealed

grid appearance.

pRODuct DEScRiptiON

Rockfon Dekor with E-edge is installed in a standard grid system providing a semi-concealed ceiling expression. Unique to Rockfon Dekor, the E-edge is a straight 8 mm recessed tegular edge, allowing also for installation in RockLink Integra grid. The tiles are demountable and allow for easy access to service installations above the ceiling. In an E-edge ceiling, the grid is visible, but withdrawn from the surface creating a shadow-effect between the tiles - the straight edge angle makes this effect even more distinctive. In addition to the standard 24 mm wide grid, E-edge tiles can be installed in the narrow 15 mm grid for a less dominant grid appearance.

absorption data αp, αw and ISO Class in accordance with EN ISO 116��. Noise

Reduction Coefficient (NRC) is calculated in accordance with ASTM C�2�.

FiRE pERFORmANcEGeneral - Rockfon Dekor is made from 100% stone wool which can withstand more

than 1000°C for more than 120 minutes without melting.

Reaction to fire - Class A1 in accordance with EN 1��01-1, the best possible class.

Meets with Essential Principle 1 of InFiRe's Design Guide thereby contributing to a safer

and more insurance friendly building.

HumiDity RESiStANcE AND DimENSiONAl StAbility (Flexural tensile strength)

Rockfon ceiling tiles are dimensionally stable, even at humidity levels of up to 100% RH.

As the humidity inside the building has no influence on Rockfon ceiling tiles, the ceiling

can be installed at all temperatures ranging from 0ºC to �0ºC and no acclimatization

is necessary. Rockfon ceiling tiles retain their superior properties even in infrequently

heated and unheated rooms. However, in accordance with best practice building

design, precautions should be taken to avoid condensation risks.

Rockfon Dekor is predominantly classified as Class1/C/ON in accordance with EN 1�96�.

Some module sizes will be Class 2/C/ON.

pRODuct DEScRiptiON

Tiles with A-edge are installed in a fully visible grid system. The visible grid provides the finished ceiling with a distinct, structured look. An A-edge solution is very cost efficient and provides easy access to service installations above the ceiling. The A-edge option is the perfect complement to semi-concealed solutions e.g. for perimeter application, or on its own. In addition to the standard 24 mm wide grid, A-edge tiles can be installed in the narrower 15 mm grid for a less dominant grid appearance.

HyGiENEStone wool does not contain organic nutrients and so is not attacked by rot, fungi or

bacteria. This makes for a cleaner and healthier indoor environment.

clEANiNGThe Dekor surface is easily cleaned with a moist cloth. Use alkaline cleaning agents and

do not use high concentration spirit, chlorine or sal ammoniac. The surface may also be

vacuum cleaned with soft brush attachment up to �2 times/year.

HANDliNG/StORAGEDekor tiles are lightweight and easily handled. Due to their inertness and dimensional

stability no special storage or handling requirements are necessary. Please see our

general handling/storage guidelines for detailed information.

Dekor tiles are ideally suited for fasttrack development and can be installed at an early

stage in the building program due to the inherent stability of the 100% stone wool.

Rockfon tiles can be easily cut using a sharp knife.
