Farewell
This past term we have had three trainee teachers working with us, Mia Hall, Whimbrel 3; Catherine Cilia, Ibis 1; and Simone Malec, Spoonbill 3.They have made valuable contributions to their respective classes and our school. As they finish their workplace appointment this Friday, we wish them well in their future endeavours.
Reports – Terminology
Reports go out next Wednesday 1 July. On the inside cover of the report is an explanation of how teachers report the achievement reached by your child at „this point in time‟.
For `Achievement‟, students need to be able to show the skills / knowledge both consistently and independently.
For „Effort‟, students are graded according to the overall commitment they have put toward the curriculum areas and their personal and social learning.
Comments provide that specific detail for the Learning Area and give an idea of the breadth of the learning program in which your child has participated.
Parent / Teacher meetings
I know many staff have had these meetings but if parents feel the need to have a meeting please speak with your child‟s teacher.
School Photos
The new confirmed dates for fotoworks are term 3, 6 / 7 August. Parents can you please hold off sending any envelopes until Photo day.
Have a happy and safe Term Break.

Students “Working Together” At Roebuck Primary School the development of life long leadership skills is one of the learning opportunities offered to all students from Year 4-6. Having effective student leaders supports the development of responsible behaviours, a positive school tone and encourages students to model the school values. Positive student leadership opportunities and experiences will facilitate the
transition to secondary school and the world beyond. Student leadership is driven by service to others and is embedded in our school motto: “Working Together”.
The senior students are our student role models. We acknowledge the gifts and talents which they bring to our school community. They work hard and are successful in making our school a welcoming, friendly, and an inclusive
community in which all students feel safe and are happy to learn and play.

Whimbrel 5 Assembly
On Friday morning it was our Whimbrel 5 class assembly. First we sang Advance Australia Fair. Then we talked about our inventions. Our inventions help people for the future. After that we sang a song called “Those Magnificent Men in their Flying Machines”. We also danced. Next we handed out the merit certificates. Finally we danced and sang to the community song. We felt happy and proud of ourselves.
On Friday the 19th of June Whimbrel 5 performed their assembly item. All the students in whimbrel 5 had to think of inventions to present to the school. It was really cool to see all the different types of inventions they had thought of.
Awesome job Whimbrel 5!!

CHARGES – Extra Cost Options Estimated Maximum Cost
Payment will be requested during the school year when costs and participation by students is confirmed
* $650 is the expected total cost inclusive of all activities,
accommodation, transport and food for a five (5) day camp.
Parent fundraising has historically reduced the contribution to approximately $300 per student. This amount per child per annum is therefore dependant and directly related to the effort and energy of the fundraising. Prior to camp, payment plans may be negotiated with the Principal.
