Project History

Project #1. “Configuration Drift Tool Language : Python, Dictionary, Paramiko, XLSWriterCompany : HP Global Soft Ltd

Project Summary & Responsibility:

I co-authored a configuration drift tool which would compare the configuration settings (firmware versions, hardware specific configuration etc.) for HP hardware (blade servers and enclosure, storage and switches) against a golden configuration and report deviation from it. configuration data, and compare each against the golden configuration. The differences will be reported in a MS Excel format.

Role:

I wrote a class which provided functionality to differentiate between two multi-level dictionaries - presence, absence of keys, differences in values

Project #2. “AWR Analysis Tool”Language : Python -Dictionary, JSON, HTMLParser


Oracle performance data is collected using AWR (Automatic Workload Repository) report. This can be used for performance troubleshooting and tuning. I co-authored a AWR analysis tool which can parse and extract relevant (and most often referred) data from the AWR report (HTML and text) and pass it on to a analysis tool which will then inspect the data, create charts and make recommendations in a MS word document. Role:

I wrote the parser in Python which would parse the HTML/text file, extract the relevant data and dump it into a JSON file.

Project #3. “Resource Dashboard”Language : Python, Django, JQuery, Ajax, HTML, CSS, SQLite, Docker


- I have written a internal tool which is being used by my management to keep track of tasks and resources (engineers) - who is assigned to which project, status of project, if a resource is overused, free resources etc. The database in use is SQLite, but we can easily change it to use any other database (like MySQL). I am currently working on putting this application on GitHub and dockerizing it.

Role: Develop Frontend in HTML,JQUERY,AJAX and Backend using Python Using Django Web Framework and Using SQLITE database
