Roles of everyone on the team.
Ryan’s roles: I was the visual director and had to run the interform. One of my jobs as the visual
director was to design the posters that would be displayed around the school. I also assist with
making the name of our campaign, we came up with S.O.S (Start On Saving)
For the interform I had to think of the sports that the year 8’s would be taking part in. I needed to
make sure that the games were relevant to the topic of our campaign.
I first thought of 5 games that could be used, but because of the short amount of time we had to
hold out campaign we only had time for 3 games.
They were:
Basketball rubbish: Basketball rubbish is where the teams pick 3 people from their group of 5. Then
the people chose from their group take it in turns to throw and aim for the green baskets. Each
person got 3 goes at getting their rubbish into the green basket. It was 3 points if you get a piece of
rubbish in the green basket.
Rubbish relay: In rubbish relay the teams pick 2 people from their group. One of the two people
starting at the beginning and the other person behind them. The first person ran across the bench
then around a pole 5 times then pick the tennis racket and ball and bounce the ball 5 times. They
then headed back to the other person and they did the same thing. During this the team has to have
a piece of rubbish with them and pass it to the second person.
Wizards of waste: We already had to sport events for the students, so we thought we would have a
questionnaire round, simple rules stood. To make the questionnaire round better we decided to give
the teams a musical instrument. So when they knew the answer to the question, they would play
their interment.
I was also taking part in the filming of our campaign video. I wrote some lyrics for the poem, and
they were used in the song.
I had to take part in speaking out to the public about the campaign, the whole group spoke to the
year 8’s. I did the year 11’s on my own. I spoke to them about our campaign and what they can do to
help prevent wasting. We designed a stall to display outside on the concourse. We were handing out
leaflets and information about the campaign.
Saujanya’s roles: Saujanya was the staff liaison. This means she was taking part in making sure
all the staff at school knew about our campaign. She created the assembly power-point that would
be shown to all years in their assemblies. Sauj helped out with the stall, she was taking to the
students and staff that walked past. As Chelsea and I were designing the stall, Sauj and Sajan were
displaying the posters around the school. She directed the filming of our campaign video. She also
came up with some of the lyrics for the poem. She designed the leaflets that we handed out around
the school at brake time. She designed some posters that went around the school. Sauj was also at
the interform. She took down the scores of the teams in their tasks. She also tallied up the winner.
Chelsea’s roles: Chelsea was the manager of our campaign, she had to make sure we were
all on task and was doing our jobs well, she also had the final say on things. She designed the
production schedule, she told us what jobs we had to do and when they had to be done by. She took
down the minuets of the meetings. Chelsea helped with the stalls, she helped design the stall with
me and she was giving out information to the staff and students in the school. While we were
creating our rap song she thought of some lyrics we could have used. She also was the main singer.
Chelsea helped Sauj create the assembly PowerPoint that would be shown around the school. She
took part in some of the assembly’s aswell. Chelsea also showed up at the year 8’s interform. She
was taking pictures.
Sajan’s roles: Sajan was also the visual director, he and I worked most of this unit. He made a few
posters and he hanged them up aswell. He also helped out in some of the assembly’s aswell. Sajan
helped on the stall, giving out information to people in the school. He created the logo for our
campaign, and came up with the name aswell.
