Acceptance speech from President G. Boolchand
To be President of Rotary club Jeevan Bima Nagar is a great
opportunity in life. On this memorable occasion, I look back
in time when I decided to serve the community at large - being
part of various NGOs’ and social service organisations, after
serving at Def. R& D organisation for over 37 years. Technical
consultancy is a way to keep in touch with rapid changing technical scenario in
Def. R & D sector.
The primary aim or basic thought behind this was to give back the society
for what all I have received over the years. It is a pleasure as well as honour for me
to be installed as President of Rotary Bangalore JBN for RY 2012-13 and I sincerely
thank every Rotarian of the club for this opportunity.
A new team has taken charge at RB JBN. In this transition, our effort will
be to maintain continuity, drawing wisdom from our outgoing team, as well as focus
on new areas to serve to community/society at large that need our attention and
priority. At the same time RBJBN will support District Signature projects on health
care, housing and literacy.
This event will forever remain etched in my mind and yet with modesty, I
recognize that RY 2012-13 will depend upon what RBJBN will perform. For this, I
request good wishes and co-operation from all Rotarians of JBN and from Peers and
past presidents ahead of me from whom I very humbly seek motivation and
guidance.
Thank you One and All.
We welcome our beloved DG

substantial funds for service projects and the crowning glory being the Club’s entry
into the Rotary Foundation Hall of Honour by adding 50 more Paul Harris Fellows

Club Category.
He then served the District with distinction, holding the positions of District Treasurer,
