As a preview, this is some of what Rotary did in the past year: We supported literacy and education with our annual Dictionary Project, our Adopt a School Program, our School Reading Program and our various scholarship awards. We supported youth activities by co- Sponsoring Rotary Camp STAR, hosting our annual Family Fun Day and hosting the Hornell Concern for Youth Christmas party, all free of charge. We promoted community service and assistance with our annual Bell ringing for SA, by coordinating a prescription drug collection, by again hosting our Annual Blood Screening Program, and working with the HHS Interact Club. The Interact Club went on to sponsor a Can-Jam fund-raiser, a literacy project and adopted a local family for Christmas. We hosted guests from Dominican Republic As part of the Milt Matthews Hospitality Program, giving our visitors a chance to learn about the local community and meet some new lifelong friends. We also participated in a district wide effort to help our neighbors to the east recover from the devastating effects of Hurricane Lee by participating in raising relief fund for victims. These are just a few things that your support of Hornell Rotary has helped to make possible. This year you can also help the Rotary Club to bring Rotary Theater back to Hornell with a revival of the musical “Annie”.
