Addionally, Royal Dahlman is able to filter your sample products on a lab scale through which we can demonstrate and report the filtraon characte- riscs of your process liquid or gas with a variety of filter materials and retenon grades. Royal Dahlman knows the potential pitfalls that can occur during the different stages of testing, process design and commissioning of filter units: stages that include the feasibility study, basic design pack-age; detailed engineering; engineering, fabrication and finally commissioning and start-up. At each of those stages the refiner’s aim should be to work with an experienced supplier with a dedicated technology team. For example, if he does not se-lect the right filter technology at the con-cept stage, it could have a major effect on the pro-ject later on. Performing laboratory analyses, bench scale testing or even on-site pilot filtration testing will give the refiner the proof in advance to make the right choice. The goal of successfully implementing a filter is often evident during the feasibility stage. An effec-tive start-up after having selected the right filter technology can enhance plant availability and relia-bility during the first cycle of operation.
