The Apex 60 is designed to of-fer the perfect combination of performance, stability, comfort and elegance. rides. Traditional teak decking accentuates the ultra-modern design of the furniture and fit-tings that follow the principles of both form and function.
The stern provides unobstruct-ed access to the boat and a large sunbed covering storage boxes containing all the necessary switches, sockets and docking station.
A flexible dining and lounge area includes an adjustable height table and beautifully upholstered sofas with built-in storage. The multi-functional
kitchenette can also be cov-ered to provide extra seating for guests or a rest for the Captain while piloting the boat.
A comfortable walk-around with built-in carbon railings provides safe movement at all times and easy access to the bow of the boat and its huge sunbed area for all-day lounging and enjoy-ing the thrill of riding across the waves. APEX 60 has been spe-cifically designed to be a flexible day tender, equally equipped for a full day out exploring the coastline or a fun party boat.

The global yacht charter market is set to expand with a CAGR of 5.4% from 2018 to reach US$ 15.86 Bn by 2026.
According to 2017 World Health Report by Capgemini, the total number of high net worth individuals (HNWI) worldwide increased by nearly 8% to a record-break-ing 16.5 Mn. This has ensured a promising consumer base for yacht charter services worldwide.
Emergence of new tourist destinations (such as Southeast Asia) offering luxury cruising along with scenic beauty has been encour-aging the HNWIs and UHNWIs across the world to explore such tourist destinations.
Increasing efforts from yacht builders and service providers focusing on providing more luxury features and memorable expe-rience is another important factor encour-aging yacht charter business. Yacht chartercompanies are now more focused on pro-viding enhanced luxury cruising to their consumers. These companies have in-
creased their focus towards improving their infrastructure. This has further facilitated the service, thereby supporting the market growth.
Asia Pacific is set to register the highest growth rate of 6.0% throughout the fore-cast period. The market here expected to be mainly driven by the consistently growing number of millionaires in the region along with increasing popularity of Southeast Asia as the next-big destination for yacht charter.
Rising number of promotional events showcasing yachts, technological advance-ments, growing number of online yacht ser-vice providers, increasing number of yachts available for rent are some of the factors which drives the growth of global yacht charter market.
Yacht companies have been using digital marketing as another effective way of reach-ing their target market. Innovations such as virtual tours and videos of particular yachts

out at sea have been circulating online andgathering much interest.
The mainstream of yachts is positioned in the Western Mediterranean. From St Tropez to the South shores of Italy, the Western Mediterranean remains the unbeaten king of yachting destinations.
The average value of weekly charter is es-timated to be around $125,500– $190,000.
The market experienced an increase in the South American chartering clientele. The charter market in the UAE in the coming years will see an upswing in growth as well. Majority of young customers are first-timeboaters, who often celebrate events such as birthday and weekend parties in the form of yacht vacations.
The market has witnessed significant adop-tion from younger audiences who want to experience yachting. The younger group of clients, with the ‘uber mentality’ of access rather than ownership, are much more
focused on charter and often organise it at the eleventh hour. The younger group are more interested in chartering at the mo-ment, more than ever before. Some of the younger clients, who would usually have been buyers, are now chartering.
Sailing yacht charters are booking up early. A niche market within the charter market itself, sailing yachts are certainly booked earlier. This fact is largely due to the mar-ket’s devoted clientele base understanding the limited charter supply. These clients know exactly what they want and book early to make sure they get it.
In Florida, consumers are more inclined towards yachts that provide comfort rather than performance. Moreover, as most con-sumers in the region are tech savvy, yacht charter companies focus on providing cus-tomers with yachts equipped with the latest technology.

TRAVEL TRENDSPlaces that fuse luxuries with local culture will continue to thrive
TOp INfLUENCERS Of THE YEAR:The 4 “F”s were the leading decision drivers
1. Fear: Conversations around the map of possibilities were more about “where can I go” rather than “where should I go”. Though, yacht charters have not been so affected by the fear from terrorism and diseases like Zika as they rep-resent safe havens and permit guests to get away.2. Food: Nowadays on-board chefs are world-renowned and have Michelin Stars, therefore permitting guests to taste the best gastronomies.3. Fitness: Wellness has become such a way of life that guests do not want to take a vacation from fitness when they travel, that is why all mega-yachts are equipped with the best gym equipment there is.4. Family: Yachts take people out of their comfort zone and push them back to-gether. They help transform people by creating fulfilling experiences that build stronger connections which people are craving.
DESTINATIONS TRENDSDestinations trends are dependent on: world events, media, the level of luxury product and access
• On The Rise: Iceland, Cuba, Portugal, California, South France, Spain, Sri Lanka, Hawaii, Croatia, Panama, Australia, Southeast Asia/Indochina Galapagos, Maldives, Italy, Greece (Mykonos, Santorini, Crete), Bali, River Cruises, Miami, Fiji, Tahiti/Bora Bora.
• Strong but flat: Sicily, Tuscany, New Zealand, Dubai.
THE GULfOf NApLES AND THE AMALfI COAST

A BIT Of HISTORY
ONE pIECE Of YACHTING HISTORYChristina O is a private motor yacht that once belonged to billionaire Greek ship-owner Aristotle Onassis. At 99.06 meters long she is ranked 31st among the Top 100 largest yachts in the world as of 2013. She was originally a Canadian anti-sub-marine River-class frigate called HMCS Stormont and was launched in 1943. She served as a convoy escort during the Bat-tle of the Atlantic and was present at the Normandy landings.
After the end of the Second World War she was one of many surplus naval vessels. Onassis purchased her at scrap value of US$34,000, he then spent US$4 million
to convert her into a luxurious superyacht named after his daughter Christina.
Upon Onassis’ death, she donated the yacht to the Greek government as a presi-dential yacht, renamed Argo.
Allowed to decay, the vessel was pur-chased in 1998 by fellow Greek shipping magnate John Paul Papanicolaou, an Onassis family friend who secured it in a government-sponsored auction. He spent $50 million to retrofit her, restoring her previous name in honor of his then de-parted friend, Christina Since Papanico-laou’s death in 2010, Christina O can be rented for private charters and cruises.
BUILT IN 1928 by Camper and Nichol-sons, the oldest leisure marine company in the world, producing and managing yachts for the world’s richest people, constructed the M/Y Grace in Southampton, England.
She surrendered none of her youth’s glam-our to the scars and wrinkles of a gallant life, including a stint chasing submarines during World War II. Presented in 1953 to Prince Rainier and Princess Grace of Mo-naco by Aristotle Onassis as a wedding gift, this 147’ yacht, which the royals christened Deo Juvente II, welcomed many illustrious guests onboard including Winston Church-ill. She also served as a honeymoon cocoon during the couple’s nuptial cruise along the coasts of Sardinia and Corsica. Yet this ro-mantic voyage was but a short chapter in the vessel’s storied history.

Superyacht Tenders & Toys Adds Yacht Carbon Offset
Superyacht Tenders & Toys has added Yacht Carbon Offset as an option for vessels with engines over 75 horsepower. That includes limousine tenders, chase boats, SOLAS rescue boats, and high-powered RIBs.
Owners will be able to use Yacht Carbon Offset to counteract the estimated greenhouse gas impact of 200 hours of use at cruising speed. Clients who charter the vessels can also opt for the offset.
“We recognize that yacht owners are becoming more environmentally conscious both in their businesses and their leisure time, but they don’t want to compromise on choice of tenders,” Claire Richardson of Superyacht Tenders & Toys stated in a press release. “This offers an alternative so that they can still enjoy high-powered tenders but also address their environmental impact if they wish.”
