SUBJECT : MATHEMATICS

MATERIAL : Area of Sphere

TIME ALLOCATION : 2 × 40 minutes

A. Main Competence

1. Respect and appreciate the precepts of their religion.

2. Respect and appreciate honest, discipline, responsibility, care (tolerance, mutual

assistance), polite, confident behavior in interacting effectively with social and

naturalenvironment in scope of theassociation and exsistence.

3. Understanding knowledge (factual, conceptual, and procedural) based on their

curiosity about science, technology, arts, culture related phenomena and concrete

case.

4. Trying, processing, and presenting in the realm of concrete (using, parsing,

composing, modifying, and creating) and the realm of the abstract (writing, reading,

counting, drawing, and fabricating) according to the learned in school and other

sources in the same viewpoint / theory.

B. Basic Competence

1.1 Respect and appreciate the precepts of their religion.

2.1 Have the internal motivation, ability to cooperate, consistent, discipline, confidence, and

tolerance in the different thinking strategies in selecting and implementing the strategy

solve the problem.

by showing video about making vollyball.

5. Teacher asks the students to observe the video will be

played.

Menentukan jari-jari dapat dilakukan dengan salah satu cara sebagai berikut

a. Dengan melilitkan tali satu putaran penuh pada posisi tengah jeruk

Misal didapat:

Panjang tali untuk satu putaran penuh tersebut adalah 17 cm

Maka panjang tersebut adalah Keliling Lingkaran

Dari Keliling yang diketahui kita dapat menentukan jari-jari

K = 2.π.r

17 = 2 . 3,14 . r

17 = 6,28 . r

r = 17

≈ 2,7 cm

b. Dengan menggunakan penggaris pada jeruk yang dibelah menjadi 2 tepat pada tengah

jeruk.

Dari jeruk yang terbelah dapat diukur diamater jeruk tersebut

d = 6 cm

r = d/2 = 6/2 = 3 cm

Menempel kulit jeruk sampai penuh untuk setiap lingkaran

Menghitung banyak lingkaran yang ditempeli kulit jeruk untuk 1 buah jeruk yaitu 4

Dalam bangun bola, kulit jeruk termasuk selimut bola atau sisi yang membatasi bangun

bola20

Hubungan selimut bola dengan banyak lingkaran yang terbuat yaitu selimut bola

merupakan sisi yang membatasi bangun bola.

Selimut bola pada jeruk adalah kulit jeruk.

Setelah dihitung ternyata didapat 4 kali lingkaran dengan jari-jari yang sama dengan jeruk.

Maka Luas Permukaan Bola adalah selimut bola tersebut yaitu 4 kali lingkaran

dengan jari-jari yang sama dengan bola 30

Rumus Luas Permukaan Bola = 4 x Luas Lingkaran

= 4 x π x r2
