RUST™ – Pneumatic non-sparking grinding toolsWith its uniquely designed grinding disc and the slow speed of rotation, surface heating and spark temperature are kept below the limits for ATEX approval.
Don`t let small problems become big problemsUsing RUST™ ATEX grindning tools you will achive the best preparation grade faster than any other mechanical tools in the marked. RUST™ is a cold work grinding tool for surface and mechanical treatment in explosive atmospheres and hazardous work environment. RUST™ is ideal for removing rust, coating (paint, silicone, rubber, chartek etc.), scale, salt and other contaminations on the surface. You can also grind away welding seams and weld spatter. RUST™ prepare the surface for long lasting coating solutions. The tools is easy and safe to operate.
RUST™ ATEX Grinding Tools are approved as Zone 1 & 2, Category 2 equipment for use in explosive atmosphere. Approved according to ATEX 2014/34/EU directive and the harmonized European Standards EN 13463-1, EN 13493-5 and EN 292-1. ATEX code II 2 G c IIA T3 (200°C)
Ordinary grinders produces hot sparks and a hot treated surface making the tool unapplicable forexplosive atmospheres.
RUST ATEX Angle grinder and grinding disc. RUST ATEX Straight grinder with rotary burr.
RUST™ cold grinding tool do not create hot sparks and are ideal for onshore, offshore, refineries, gas plants aswell as tankers and gas carriers.

RUST™ ATEX Grinding ToolsSurface and mechanical treatment for hazardous work enviroment
Benefits:
• No need for habitat• No need for hot work permits• No need of fireguards• No demanding risk evaluation• No production shutdown• No job postponements
RUST™ offers a cost efficient alternative to the existing methods and is perfect for small and medium-sized maintenance tasks.
RUST™ prepare the Surface for good adhesion, roughness and cleanliness• Adhesion results: 10 MPa - 25 MPa (ISO 4624:2016).• Surface roughness profile: Rz 75 µm - 105 µm (ISO 8503-1:2012).• Surface cleanliness preparation grade: SSPC-SP11 Power Tool Cleaning to bare metal. (After Swedish standard ISO 8501-1: most similar to St.3).
Grinding Disc and Rotary BurrsThe high efficiency studs in the rotating disc and the burrs are made of tungsten carbide. You don`t have to change the disc when studs are worn out or refract, the studs are interchangeable and can be replaced one by one. Cost efficiency discs and theburrs are long-lasting.
Cold work approved • No explosion danger • Low temperature • No hot sparks Low Noise <85 dB • Low Vibration 2.5 m/s² • No need for face mask (little or no dust)No release of toxic gases when grinding through polyurethane or plastic coatings.
