Rutherford Hotel Nelson has a total of 113 well-appointed accommodation rooms, which are all non-smoking, with interconnecting rooms andwheelchair friendly facilities also available.

102 Premium rooms which include 97 twins with one queen bed and one king single bed, and five double rooms. All have electronic card access for extra security. Bathrooms are well appointed with most showers over baths.

Three Premium triple rooms have a queen bed and two king single beds in the main studio room. This room type also has a breakfast bar with microwave and is perfect for families.

One Executive Suite has two queen beds and lounge seating in a studio layout. A very spacious room.

Two Premium quad rooms have a queen bed and one king single bed, with a further two king single beds in a separate room. Another option forfamilies.

One three bedroom apartment has a super king bed in main bedroom with ensuite, one queen bed in second bedroom and two king single beds in third bedroom. The apartment has full kitchen, laundry facilities, a second bathroom with separate toilet and lounge, with sky guest select and sound bar

Three Deluxe Suites have a separate lounge, dining area and kitchenette. The bedroom has a king bed and an en-suite.

Oceano RestaurantOpen for breakfast from 6am and again for dinner Thursday to Monday 5:45 pm, closed on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. Menu options include an array of entrée and mains from the sea, the land and the farm showcasing Nelson’s finest produce. Large groups are welcome and our set menu options are a great way to sample a variety of our regions flavours, located on level 2.

Miyazu Japanese RestaurantIf your taste preferences lean towards the exotic, dinner at the iconic Miyazu Japanese Restaurant on the first floor is a must. Our expert chefs take great pride in creating fresh, healthy and exquisitely beautiful authentic Japanese fare including sushi, sashimi, shabu-shabu and teppanyaki prepared right in front of you. Open Tuesday to Saturday from 5:45pm.

Port o’ Call BarEven conferences can be thirsty work. After a day exploring all that Nelson and its surrounds has to offer, head to the Port o Call Bar, one of the finest bars in Nelson. It’s a Nelson bar known for its exceptional service, and its fine selection of drinks to please beer, whiskey, wine and cocktail lovers. Also featuring one of the region largest single malt selections. Open daily from 3:30pm and locates on level 2.

Atom Café Offering freshly poured South Island roasted coffee and a wide selection of homemade cabinet style sandwiches, and sweet and savoury treats. Being a baker’s son and a chef’s grandson, you would say that Jeff Scott Foster was born to create masterpieces in the kitchen.Jeff moved to London from his childhood town of Torquay in England at the young age of 16. He was trained by, and has worked with, some of the best Michelin chefs during his time at top London restaurants such as “Le Gavroche”.After 6 years in London he moved to Denmark and gained invaluable experience for over twenty years working with top Danish chefs during the “New Nordic Cuisine” revolution. It was here he decided that sustainability would become a key philosophy behind his own style of “Real Food Cuisine” in a “Laid Back Gourmet” atmosphere.During his travels and professional life Jeff has gathered experience in all disciplines within the hospitality trade. From large top quality functions through to the delicate art of plating for competitions, from busy a la carte restaurants to working in top class resorts.

For me it’s all about taste, passion, quality and storytelling. If I am preparing dishes for 5 or 500, the high quality has to be the same, it has to taste of what it is and the passion coupled with my philosophy, has to shine through with the presentation.
