Members and Friends of All Faith Church,
It’s been such an honor serving the Church this past year and I’m very excited to have another year to continue serving the best I can. The Vestry has made huge strides to improve communications both inside and outside the Church. I encourage everyone to actively check the All Faith Church Website and Facebook sites for updates on services, activities, weekly bulletins and fundraisers to name a few.
This July, the Diocese will be posting a help wanted ad for a priest-in-charge to serve both All Faith and Trinity Parishes. A huge thank you to our search committee members’ efforts, some spanning a couple of years, for making this a reality. We are hoping to have a full time priest-in-charge in the very near future. We will keep everyone informed as more information flows our way.
I’m sure you have all noticed that we had the bell tower removed for safety reasons. We have pursued several quotes to repair the tower so it will last another 40+ years, and are planning to begin work late July to early August. Please read down further in the newsletter for details on how to help. Please share with your friends and family; every donation will help!

Bell Tower UpdateWork on rebuilding the bell tower should start in
late July to early August 2018 and will take several weeks to complete. The cost of the bell tower is approximately $35,000. If you are able to make a pledge or donation to help with the expense, please put a note in the plate during
Sunday service. The vestry will match your pledge. Donations can also be dropped off at the office during admin office hours (posted on the
website calendar). Additionally, online donations can be made directly from the website at

CONGRATULATIONS CLASS OF 2018Please extend in prayer of thanksgiving for the achievements of
Faith Davis (Ryken Graduate) and
Jenna Leitzel (Calverton Graduate). Both girls are heading on to the college. We here at All Faith have truly enjoyed and feel blessed to have watched both of these young ladies grow. Please take
the time to congratulate them and their families.

VBSAUGUST 6th, 7th and 8th
6pm-8pmChildren of all ages are welcome from the parish and the community. VBS is FREE to everyone. Volunteers and donations are needed. We want to thank Jeanette
Davis for volunteering this summer to host VBS. If you have any questions please contact the Parish Office, 301-884-3773. VBS Registration and Photo Release

Please Welcome the New Vestry Members Regan Hanson (Senior Warden) and Kathy Roland (Junior Warden) are joined on
the Vestry with Pat Fistick, Amanda Hanson, Christine Meinhardt, Mary Chamberlain, Keith Clifton, Kirk Davis, and Becky Taylor. Please take the time to
meet and greet them. If you need to reach them you can send an email to Michele at the church, and she will pass it on.

SUNDAY SCHOOL during the SUMMERThank you to Mary Chamberlain and Amanda Hanson. Because of their
volunteering efforts Sunday School will continue during the summer months during the 10:30 Service. All children of all ages are welcome to join.
THE BEAUTIFUL MUSICPlease take the time to welcome back Mr. Wes Lesher. He and Nancy Virts will be
alternating weekends playing the organ. We want to thank them both for their time and for sharing their talents with the parish.
Fellowship SundayThank you to Regan and Amanda Hanson for stepping up monthly in hosting
fellowship. Key word being “monthly”. There is going to be an attempt to form a schedule to have fellowship return WEEKLY. Please take the time to contact
Michele to pick one or two Sundays starting in July continuing through summer

and early fall. Please contact her before she calls you. This is an essential piece to having our Parish grow.
Building and GroundsThe grass is being cut again this year by volunteers. If you are able to help please contact the church office. Mike Reiss, Jimmy Burroughs and Jay Roland have been
doing the bulk of the cutting and have been doing a fantastic job. A riding lawnmower has been donated to the church to encourage volunteers to help with
the grass cutting. Volunteers doing the work saves the church about $600 each time the grass is cut.
Currently we are attempting to get an estimate on repairing and resetting some of the headstones in the cemetery. We are also looking for someone to glaze the windows in the church. When they were last cleaned some of the glazing was broken and in pretty bad shape. We also have a few window panes that are
cracked and need to be replaced.
Altar GuildThere are plenty of spots on the Flower Chart at the back of the church. Please
feel free to sign up to donate altar flowers in memory of a loved one or to celebrate a birthday or anniversary. Michele makes all the arrangements, feel free to also contact her by calling at 301-884-3773 or [email protected]

Parish CareDo you know someone who would like communion at home? Kathy Roland does
communion calls monthly. We can also send out cards and prayer books to those who may be home bound and just need to be thought of. To make arrangements please contact the Parish Office. When adding someone to the prayer list, please
have those names into the office by Wednesday afternoon.
Please keep the following in your prayers, The Young Family, Lorri Reiss, Marian Richardson, Mary Wrabley and The Roland Family.
Hall Rental
Allowing the community to use the hall appears to be still gaining momentum. As it stands now we have only 2 Saturdays available to rent in July. If you are looking
to use the hall please contact Michele in the Parish Office. We are also looking for ways to advertise that will not cost anything to the
church, if you have any ideas please contact Michele.

Schedules
Look for LEM, LECTOR and FELLOWSHIP schedules to come. These are key items to draw people in from the community as well as to show the possible Rectors when visiting. When Michele emails or calls with requests, please take a few
minutes to reply. A contact list of emails and phone numbers will accompany the schedules, please if you cannot make it contact someone on the list who can and
switch. Also is it essential to be on time, 15 minutes ahead would be ideal.
