PALM SUNDAY

Question for Adults: How will you try to imitate the obedience and humility of Christ during this holy week? Questions for Children: What could you do to show respect for Jesus this week as the church remembers His death and resurrection?

Monday Is 42:1-7; Jn 12:1-11 Tuesday Is 49:1-6; Jn 13:21-33, 36-38 Wednesday Is 50:4-9; Mt 26:14-25 Thursday Ex 12:1-8, 11-14; Jn 13:1-15 Friday Is 52:13-53:12; Jn 18:1-19:42 Saturday Genesis 1:1-2:2; Mt 28:1-10

Palm Sunday Jesus took bread and giving it to his disciples said, “Take and eat, this is my body.” Then he took a cup and gave it to them, saying, “Drink from it, for this is my blood of the covenant, which will be shed on behalf of many for the forgiveness of sins.” Then Jesus came to a place called Gethsemane. He fell prostrate in prayer, saying, “My Father, let this cup pass from me; yet, not as I will, but as you will.” Then all the disciples left him and fled. Pilate said to the crowds, “What shall I do with Je-sus called Christ?” They all said, “Let him be crucified!” And they came to a place called Golgotha. From noon onward, darkness came over the whole land. And about three o’clock Jesus cried out in a loud voice, My God, why have you forsak-en me?” Jesus gave up his spirit. The centurion and the men with them said, “Truly, this was the Son of God!”
